I can understand all the interest in this but not the criticism. There are many reasons to have an alt account and many of them go far beyond MGE. Maybe you want to test things like Open Plugin, just to see how they work without jeopardizing a main account, or maybe you want to be able to pub without attracting a lot of attention.

And maybe you want to appear like someone different. Nothing wrong with that, in fact things like that may have some inherent psychological reward as shown here: http://sinfulsix.com/cheaterhigh.pdf

At any rate, kudos to quetzyl for compiling that list, probably took a bit of work, although I can tell for sure it's not accurate and at least some of those alt accounts are not correct.

I've always been worrying about my dm thinking it should be a lot better than it currently is.

I have played on an alt before and it was pretty fun. used to be pretty useful for testing config stuff without having to worry about messing up your own files, but with steampipe that isn't really possible afaik.
