well no shit, healing sentries/teleporting them halfway across the map is always going to be indestructible because valve made broken weapons for the aimbot class, but the process of stickying up a sentry and then blowing up all your sticks didn't change when valve made the first good change of the past two years by nerfing sticks.

I think a good change would to just have the damage scale up from 50% to 100% over 2 seconds from the point you start charging a sticky in your gun, the stick would continue to scale during the .7 second arm time.

That way the first few sticks a demo shoots at mid would be near full strength (rewarding faster rollouts) and krit sticky sniping would still do basically full damage, while preventing a demo from being able to left click right click a choke for 8 full dmg stickies

I liked the nerf only because it reminded me the ScotRes exist. Viable? Not compared to the stock. Fun? Oh fuck yes.

And after the unnerf, I still have a fun as hell ScotRes. I'm ok with this, but it was neat to at least see other weapons used for a week.

There should just be a 2 sec ramp up that has lower splashradius, so people cant cry that it doesnt take skill.

Now that people are quick on jumping the gun that stickies still need a nerf beware of the consequences of that nerf. Imo the stickylauncher is the second most important weapon in the game after the medigun, and is essential part of the core mechanics of the game.

Any nerf to damage or spamming ability of this weapon is a indirect huge buff to heavies and wrangled sentries and we've seen how that hurts our game, both 6v6 and specially HL. I would prefer they would leave it completely unchanged like it has been for the past 6+ years obviously, but if anything has to happen to it (which I think it will) I think it should be very well thought as not to nerf spammability or damage too much. And if it does, then sentries should be nerfed to the ground, as well as full buffed heavies, otherwise the game becomes an unplayable stale mess.

These past few days I played some of the worst and most excruciating HL matches ever.
