Sometimes when I get bored at night I want to watch a movie and I'm never sure what to pick. Just leave some movies and tell why you like it and anything else etc.
I just saw Bad Words (the Jason Bateman movie) and enjoyed it a lot.
You could just go down the imdb top 250 and watch movies that interest you from that as well.

watch the movie "happiness". its a really heartwarming movie about a family and their struggle. I know it sounds kinda cheesy but its really good. Go watch it with your parents the next time you see them and they'll probably think youre the biggest fucking sweetheart.
I really enjoyed "a most wanted man" when I saw it in the theater a few weeks ago. Lots of suspense and build up, was an interesting change from the fast paced actiony explosions everywhere spy movies I'm used to seeing
I just watched the new movie Snowpiercer a few days ago, it was a really cool and interesting post-apocalyptic movie with an interesting cast of actors.
Stalker (1979)
Loosely based off the book roadside picnic. It's about a "stalker" taking two men into the zone. It's good.

"Her" by Spike Jonze. It's one of the best movie i've watched in a while.
The lego movie is pretty awesome. If you like Chris Pratt and have ever played with legos you should definitely check it out.
Thanks a bunch guys I got what I'm watching tonight. Thanks for all the suggestions
Memories of a Murder (2003) powerhouse of a film
Some movies I've watched recently that I really enjoyed:
Once Upon a Time in the West, Moon, Repulsion, Killer Joe, Blue is the Warmest Color, Drive.

The Hunt: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2106476/ was surprisingly good. It's in Danish, so subtitles.

I'd second Moon and Jagten(The Hunt).
- 2001: A Space Odyssey is a great film if you have some patience and like quirky science fiction. It premiered in 1968 and it still looks modern and advanced to this day, it's quite something.
- 500 Days of Summer is a bit of a different romantic film that had a unique style; not trying to be funny with a bad script like most romantic comedies.
- The Machinist is a psychological thriller which is also known for Christian Bale dropping his weight to 54 kg(~120 lbs) to play the main character, after which he then immediately doubled it again through weight training to play Batman.
I recently saw Boyhood, which was filmed over 12 years with the same actors all the way through. I'm not quite sure what I think of it yet, but it was definitely unique and worth watching, in my opinion. Enjoy.

Dead Poets Society,
It's just a very good and heartwarming story, and is pretty different from other movies of the same genre.

SpewntheSpoonGood Will Hunting for obvious reasons

MoistMelonsThe Grand Budapest Hotel for a fun film
Honestly one of the most wonderful movies I've ever seen, though I'm not much of a buff. Has that sort of yellowed-with-age charm (that characterizes just about every Wes Anderson movie) in spades.
I'd throw Cool Hand Luke into the mix, possibly my all-time favorite. It didn't click with me until the second time I watched it, but I've loved it ever since.
I've somehow gone this long without watching Dr. Strangelove, which sources tell me is another interesting one. I... I'll get around to it eventually.

Yooooo short term 12 is awesome but it's unironically the worst I've ever felt after a movie
Personally, I really love Oldboy. Well, the Korean version, that is.
