Russian, English, Basic German.
why did no one pull the "english, spanish, c++" joke yet.:????
I speak Urdu and Hindi (counting those as separate languages, gotta pad those language stats). Where my brown brothers at?!
English and Vietnamese, it's so useful in little saigon westminster
Me alegra saber que en esta comunidad hay más hispanohablantes de lo que imaginaba :)
English, Spanish and currently learning some Russian
English, currently learning French, hoping to learn Swedish.
I know English, and German. I will begin studying Japanese over the summer.
I learned German in school, and was very successful in understanding the rules of the language (most of which I have not forgotten). Unfortunately we did not learn much vocabulary, even in the upper level classes. I can still translate well, but I have to look up most of the vocabulary as a result of how long it's been since I have spoke German.
I plan on visiting Japan eventually (a bit later in life), and would like to become fluent in Japanese long before I do visit. Always have held an interest in Japanese society as well.

(he didn't)

Encreglisshttps://www.duolingo.com/Can anyone tell me if using duolingo is worth it?
learn spanish w/ me so I can communicate w/ peruvians in dota
From my perspective it just seems to teach you words and phrases, not how certain languages actually work.
I've been using it for a few months and I think it's worth it. It's nice to be able to do quick little 'lessons' here and there. It gives you instant feedback but never explains the language to you, so the beginning is a lot of rote memorization until you can deduce the patterns behind it. You can just google stuff if you wanna know more about it. I expect it only gives you the rough basics of a language if you complete a course, but that's all you need to start reading books in the language or whatever you want to do to advance your understanding of it.
