between logs and sizzlers, which is better and why?
i think logs is better because it is more detailed and presents more information (ie: headshots and airshots)
but i think sizzling is good because it shows true damage and not overkill damage

Sizzling is pretty compact and true damage is nice. On the other hand, logs is way more detailed and aesthetically pleasing, ontop of giving you heal percentages which are more meaningful than actual heals received.
So I'd say logs is better imo

Not having logs is grounds for me to reject a server for scrims.

.ss also counts health packs as heals recieved

both
also .ss has the stv
Having both on your servers is nice as ss works independent of sourcemod (which breaks with some updates).
I find the logs website to be more convenient post scrims for searching.
I really like the logs system the au players have, that is super cool.

Why are there two different things for logs anyway?

flufnWhy are there two different things for logs anyway?
AFAIK ESEA won't use logs.tf but will use ss

You can run tftrue without sourcemod which has has logs.tf integration among other things

I prefer overkill damage in most situations, scouts in particular, because if you are running around hitting rad 100 damage shots but only cleaning up frags the stats won't reflect your good aim.
Obviously with spies and stuff its annoying but generally I think its good

one thing I never hear people bring up is round by round stats. on ss you can check the stats for specific rounds and I think it gives some decent insight to where momentum changes in a game. that and easily being able to dl stv demos put ss ahead for me but I am indifferent otherwise

while i agree ss' per-round stats for individual players is great, with logs you do get this which is also very nice

logs.tf has per round stats, kills and damage per team and per player. You can enable per-round uploading in TFTrue. I'm not sure how readable it is during the game though.
I have a preference for TFTrue + logs.tf. I think the site is prettier, easier to read and more informative, also airshots.

flufnWhy are there two different things for logs anyway?
logs.tf was the one that got the most widespread use but sizzlingstats got big because it auto-uploaded before logs did
then logs did a huge revamp and added a bunch of features and looks a lot better
then ss uploaded the demos automatically
competition is good

i'd love that feature but lately with log combiners/double logs those stats could not always be precise. Maybe with some sort of filtering it could be more accurate.
