The future is bright.
not since the day the crusader's xbow was updated to make a loud sound on friendly-hit/heal have I been so excited to see Valve listen to players' feedback and right a wrong so well. kudos to valve.
nyki58 man...
Making i58 very new-player friendly could make a ton of people get interested in competitive tf2, just discovering it from the UI and getting super hooked into the sick plays.

imho we need some kind of video that explains the concept of competitive tf2, its a bit hard to explain the game in a competitive sense to people who have never played it before or who have only played it extremely casually. if that kind of video was made and passed around people may be quite a bit more interested.
"Woah! That starkie guy sure does hit some nice headshots! Idk why he keeps playing scout tho, that class is easy"
I think along with this viaduct got removed from MM and replaced by lakeside right?
You think viaduct will be updated to maximize fps and be more similar to the pro version?

Did they remove the death timers on the portraits along the top with this patch? I thought that was a really nice feature that had a lot of potential for improving coordination in the future.
The viaduct change is super questionable as well. Play-wise, Lakeside is basically a weaker version of viaduct. Longer sight lines, less interesting structures, same choky spawn exits. Optimization-wise, viaduct was fixed by the community years ago, so... what's the thought process here? Force us all to play snowy viaduct at 70fps for a week and then respond to complaints by taking it out of the rotation?

They didn't remove this, chances are you're using an outdated custom HUD that doesn't have in the new animations. If anything it's more helpful now, because now when an enemy on the other team dies, it shows what class they are so you know which players/classes are up/down.

Stream doubled average viewcount and chat was still (for the most part) easy to manage and read because everyone was cool and coming from the main menu. This was a really awesome feature, very out of nowhere but fine by me
TFLIVE are doing an impromptu round table starting now! It's pretty casual but it's meant to introduce our talent to the new audience and for those of you who might not know the faces behind some of the names. Feel free to tune in!
Also going to be talking a bit about OZF 15.

Had a ton of fun hosting the fairly impromptu panel! Definitely a new experience for me! Next time I do something like this, I'll make sure we pull together a more focused topic section.
If anyone has any feedback on me hosting, or what the panel did well or lacked, I'd love to hear it. Also if anyone has any ideas for other ozf related content.

Just saw it in the main menu, looks good. Hoping for a YouTube-videos list too some day? :P

Never seen this before, should use that on tf.tv streams before matches or something

Although I won't play matchmaking until its released with class limits and so I can use my config, I am very glad valve took notice of tf2 and is doing everything they can to help it out. If someone from valve is reading my post, thank you.
anyone see muselk getting 1600 viewers the other day? o_o
