Summer's just about here, was curious to know what people were planning on reading over the next few months. For myself I'm working on Brandon Sanderson's Mistborn series, Bernard Cornwell's the Last Kingdom series and unfortunately I feel obligated to finish the Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind.

I'm about halfway through The Great Gatsby at the moment. After that, I'm going to read The String of Pearls, which is the original story of Sweeney Todd (before the musical was a thing). Really looking forward to that.

I also have a massive backlog of random fantasy/science fiction that I need to get to at some point...

Its about time to start all over again with Ender's Game and Ender's Shadow and then go right through the entire series because once you start its not possible to stop.

Fuck the movie, it did no credit to the book in any way.

Gonna read Torn Apart, a biography of Ian Curtis. Only found a few reviews of it, but all were extremely positive. Gonna start that right after I finish Room Full of Mirrors, a fantastic Jimi Hendrix bio.

I reread the Dark Tower series by Stephen King every summer. Its his magnum opus and if you have read other books by him there are a ludicrous number of tie-ins. Entertaining as hell and very readable

Hoodie unfortunately I feel obligated to finish the Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind.

How far into the series are you? Read em all a few years ago and they get very... strange. Good books but thick as FUCK, especially the later ones.

Reading through Simon Green's Nightside series for the 4th or 5th time right now.

I'm about halfway through and I don't get that vibe from it idk.

Also finally getting around to American Gods and Godel Escher Bach. Damn being out of school means I have so much free time to read :D

nearing the end of 11/22/63 right now, very good. I have the audiobook for it and the narration is excellent too. After that, I will probably continue on with Pratchett's Night Watch series

The Pale King is the better summer read if it has to be DFW lol

Anyway, I'll be reading Canetti's Crowds And Power to understand current politics better.

reading "all quiet on the western front" and "the grapes of wrath", p good but they can be boring if you have a short attention span.
