S14 - Start playing in open with the intent to get good.
S15 - Play in open with same team hoping to make playoffs, didnt make playoffs.
S16 - Hope to make playoffs with new team. New team died, didnt make playoffs.
S18 - Play with friends.
S19 - Join another team with friends, grandma gets super sick and goes into hospice for the remainder of the season. My entire summer is spent with grandma and grinding dm/scrimming with my team. I managed to ruin both my wrists and had to endure a whole season of playing with indust. The entire experience was p shitty and killed what little enjoyment for the game I had left. I finally made playoffs but it didnt feel worth it at this point. After playoffs I quit the team and decided I was done tryharding.
S20 - Played with friends to have fun so I can quit on a good note.

I think its better to quit on a good experience than a bad one, because in my experience bad experiences only leave me wanting to try again and be better the next time.

S11: Wanting to get into the competitive scene, I joined a team of primarily Smash Bros. players aptly called Super Hash Bros. We barely got to scrim, had roster / life problems through the entire season, but hey we won a game! icTus was also on this team, so he's one of my longest-running TF2 friends.

S12: After the unfortunate series of events in S11 the team wouldn't keep going. I however wanted to play again, but decided to focus on school instead. Radium was going to use the roster for his team Wutang Financial, so I would end up backing up for that team. I joined Mumble and watched the team scrim whenever I could, and even had the honor of having to emergency ring in a match. College Internet then gave me 200 ping and as a result forced me to play a fragging class on the worst map in existence (Ashville's CP version) where I wracked up a devastating 3 frags. Because if you thought I was garbage at fragging classes now, hoo boy... Regardless, this was a season where I just absorbed knowledge about the game, and I consider it my 2nd most important season ever.

S13-S15: These three seasons were spent with Chilling in North Korea, a team that I would end up leading around halfway through S13. Looking back I'd probably say my time with NK was some of the very best I've ever had. Teamleading and teambuilding came somewhat natural to me, and even though we never made playoffs in any of those seasons, I grew significantly as a player both technically and mentally. In particular, I achieved breakout performance (by my standards) in S15, putting up really good numbers in a plethora of matches, ending the season with like a 2:1 uber-death ratio, and a perfect game (technically two, but the first was from a laughingstock of a "match" where client issues fucked us continuously and we spent pretty much the entire map holding last lol).

S16: Hahahahaha. I played 200 ping Medic from Hong Kong on a matches-only team (under the NK flag) because of the ESEA vs. CEVO bullshit. Look where that got us...

S17: Coming back from Hong Kong, I would end up starting on bsc's team Spacelobsters AKA Octopus Emporium v2 AKA "Hans Fan Group" (thanks defiance). The team had players like seymour, tooth, vortex, and of course the octopus extraordinaire himself. I learned a lot about higher-level play with these guys, and I would (justifiably) be cut briefly before the halfway point. I spent the latter half of the season playing with kace and Avast's team 1K MPH Ass after radium left the team. We had a good time together, and this would be the first building block in creating my next team. Because of my first exposure to high-Open, and the foundation for S18, S17 was the most important one in my career.

S18: Having talked to Avast and SpaceCadet, the three of us would decide to form a team with hopes of reaching IM. We'd meet Shiki and karova, who were trying to build their own team and we joined forces, picking up Highlander superstar Comanglia on the way. Karova would end up leaving due to not having fun on Scout, and Comanglia would follow with personal issues, and I got reilly / dango and vortex to take their place. Fun fact, BLANC Esports was always just a placeholder team name, but because no other alternatives ever really came about the name stuck. Anyway, this was a pretty good season, though not free of some internal issues, but I doubt a lack of those would have altered the end result of losing first round of playoffs. A personal milestone for me this season was ending the (regular) season with sub-100 deaths.

S19: The combination of not being promoted into IM and some of the team problems from before would result in the BLANC split. Afterwards I somehow make my IM debut with Mumble Robots. I can't even remember what other teams I tried out for before joining them but anyway. I thought it would be a learning season, but serious personality conflicts and other shenanigans would devour the team from the inside. The team would quietly go through the remainder of the season as a pugscrim team pretty much, even winning a match along the way.

S20-S21: A return to teamleading with new iterations of BLANC Esports. I would pickup my first playoff win in S20, and another IM berth in S21. Even though both versions of the team were pretty strong and played pretty well throughout, I played like DOGSHIT and had been doing so on the regular since S19. S21 in particular was painful because I have vivid memories of dropping the ball in various matches (though S20 wasn't free of those either - hell, I don't have a single match in those two seasons that I'm proud of or happy about), and those were added to / with various team problems (bon3's lack of drive, Crasian's arm falling off every other week, etc.). I had already made plans to cut myself from the team after the end of the season and give my boys the roster, but then I found out I was gonna be in Hong Kong for S22 anyway so that worked out nicely.

S22: I am enjoying this casual retirement from TF2, and to be honest my interet in the game has never been lower. I barely watch matches, though I am watching Dreamhack as I write this. I'm unsure as to what I want to do when I'm back for next season. Part of me wants to rinse the bad taste in my mouth of three consecutive seasons of awful Medic play, and the other part of me wants to terrorize low-low-Open and pursue my Soldier dreams. We'll see.

S8: Got picked up by Cascade in MGE to join a team as demoman. I hit a double airshot and that was good enough qualifications apparently. Cascade formed the team but had to leave for IRL reasons before the season started. Team had dflame, decimate, bubbablanks, starry, dash, vost0k, moefosho and myself. We were super disorganized and matches were basically whoever could actually make it.

S9: Joined ST6 with lionaire again as demoman. The team's pocket and I had some differences so I ended up quitting towards the latter half of the season.

S10: I played a lot of league of legends with a group of buddies at this point, so we decided to all make a TF2 team together. We ended up losing a lot of games and playing more LoL than TF2 anyways so the team disbanded towards the middle of the season.

S11: My first season as scout and arguably the first time I finished a full season - also the most fun I've had playing competitive TF2. Swag Pantalones had bella, liko, and dane all playing together from the previous season, and they had just recently picked up shootist who acted more as the team leader. Shootist then picked me up as scout, and then picked up my good friend starry up as pocket. Dane ended up having to leave the team due to IRL issues early in the season and we picked up cranberry. Starry had a family emergency which put cranberry's friend hooey as pocket. We ended up getting 4th in open.

S12: I met jake steel in pugna who offered me to join an IM team with him. The team ended up being jake, alittlegirl, nixnyte, ktb, bwat, and myself. Nix had computer issues the whole season and we underperformed so we ended up with trolly team comps most of the time.

S13: Before the season I tried my hand at forming my own team with stratovarius, bella, dflame, and stoperr. School work started piling up and I decided to take the season off.

S14: Monkeysuit picked me up to join the flying circus where I got to accomplish my dream of switching classes halfway through a match.

S16: Team full of mumble buddies died at a record breaking pace, so I looked to find a team to finish the season with. I ended up playing in CEVO with elena, rdj, nub danish, and spartacus

S17: bsc was going to be out of town for the first 2 weeks of the season, so I was asked to play for those games. Seymour wasn't satisfied with the skill level of the team and quit before bsc returned. When bsc returned he raised his mighty sword of killing teams and cut nearly everyone, leaving a completely different roster. Wowzers could not pay for his league fees because his brother spent the last of his paypal money buying lucky charms on amazon. Bsc then attempted to pay for his league fees but ended up paying some random player on esea's league fees instead. I couldn't make this shit up.

yaug2007: me, enigma, fanom, makaveli, solidsnake started playing after NS died. This was the original TF2 xensity, we got into the competitive scene right after the first CEVO tournament, went CEVO P the following season.

2008: quit xensity to form a team with justin, nightmare, ruwin, bman, got picked up by x6. Did nothing but finish 2nd in CEVO P

2009-2010: quit x6 and joined sway with destro, hero, amr, reen, and casey, later got picked up by Evil Geniuses with these guys. ESEA picked up TF2 around this time, went straight to invite. Nothing but 2nd place finishes again. Cut amrit and got cyzer on scout. Everyone started quitting or not wanting to play as much so we picked up phelon, reptile, syckness, and dummy. rage quit and made an open team with randoms, didn't even make playoffs lol. Quit after that season and made an IM team with phelon, paladin, and others. Had a good first half of the season then started losing because everyone would argue. I quit midseason and joined an open team with Basik. Basik and I quit the team after that season.

2011: Basik and I went to invite to play for apoplexy industries, went 1-15 all season, vowed never to play this game competitively again.

2012 - now: sometimes i pub or play pugs, but rarely, I don't find the game to be as exciting or fun anymore. I still love this community regardless of how much I act like an asshole, because I've met a lot of great people that I still talk to daily.

Evil Geniuses with destro, casey, reen, amrit, and hero was my favorite team to play with because we were all good buds. amrit was holding us back and we really wanted to win so what do we do? we go and cut one of our best buds and picked up a bunch of try hards and it turned into a toxic environment. in hindsight, we should've just worked with amrit more on improving. Pro tip: If you're on a team where everyone is best friends, don't fucking cut anybody regardless of how many 2nd place finishes you get.

for the TL;DR crowd, basically cyzer is team cancer.

even though i've lost contact with a ton of people i've played with some of them were so cool, i miss playing with friends before i sort of became the hugest retard in the community and a piece of shit in general

the road has been nutty and still super fun, sort of bummed that it had to end with me losing so many friends but it's pretty much all over now

TF2 is such a constant and integral part of my life and I have played for so long, I could honestly write a book about all my time and experience in this game. The best community I ever been a part of, met some of my best friends in this game and to this day I don't think I will have better times in gaming, sorry Overwatch.

Hopefully the story has a few chapters left.

Bought the game sometime in the summer after a friend showed it to me at college sometime shortly after release.

Got into playing on the SourceOP community - mainly on goldrush. Met and played with lots of cool folks who eventually went on to other things - like TwitchJohn, Sizzling Calamari, and Zalfy. If you're more into highlander you'll also be familiar with some other regulars in the form of Wombraider, Hugh Laurie, cusideablelincoln, and Sdogg2m.

Sometime in 2008 or 9? My memory is foggy, they started running HL and 6s pugs out of SourceOP players, I was invited and attended a few, but ended up not playing video games for about a year.

Re-emerged for the first etf2l HL tournament that awarded medals, but didn't play because my graphics card literally melted in parts - had to build a new PC.

Sometime around 2010 CommFT was running its bracketed tournament, we wanted to get in on it, me and 5 other dudes from the ol' OP, and we missed registration slightly, and so ended up signing up for CEVO and UGC instead.

Made CEVO-O playoffs, but didn't play because the first game was literally the day after Christmas so I told ol' Dubel to shove his default date, and that season basically killed CEVO until it was shortly resurrected, also tried to screw Klicka out of a match on atrophy_b7 using the absolute most shit-lord scumbag tactics, because I so badly didn't want to play that map. Won UGC platinum.

Became UGC 6s admin - saw the league grow *tremendously* over my 2 season tenure. Played first season of open, managed to win a game in playoffs so got promoted to IM - beat Duwatna + Garbage (which apparently included Sezco). Also make my YT channel about then because too many UGC players found out I was playing in IM and were constantly after me for advice.

Got dumpstered in IM and the team finally died the following season.

Join the open champs Dheroes, who promptly die like 6 games in - something like that. Play with 4 UGC steel players + pharaoh that Mason set me up with to hold the roster.

Reform the team with Chriz tah fah, bring in Frio, Kermit, and begin the process of cutting my way to the top after Sezco's gambit to get me on his invite roster resulted in him getting cut.

Team dies for lack of a pocket, reform with BSC and play in main. Team dies due to excessive sadzoning, finish out the season with schnell, cosa, and remedy.

Play 1/2 season of pocket in open with fredwardo, pie hero, and Capn' get sadzone disorder and quit.

Also played some medic for monkeysuit + vortex + BSC somewhere in there to see if I still wanted to play the game - haven't played since. Also yes BSC did pay for the wrong wowzers, it turns out many people have that name.

Cast a lot of games. Including the last ESEA LAN to date with Gecks, and also the last ever GPIT game played in ESEA - by myself for a large portion of it because bl4nk got ddosed. I sometimes consider playing again, but usually come to my senses 2 days later or so.

2007 - Bought orange box and built a rig out of spare parts for day 1 of open beta - pubbing ensues
2008 - getting pub stomped by Xen Yaug, enigma, and Solid Snake brings 6's to my attention. Form Misfits! with other pubbers for CEVO tourney, TWL, and start to gather, and actually learn from better players
2009 - Taught a bunch of new to 6s players the basics. Made the brutal decision to leave my pub bros to take over an ESEA roster with b4nny, moero, arx, alan_nl etc. Take 3rd in S4 open in our 2nd season. Decline to join invite. B4nny left for eMg, lost arx.
2010 - Reform as a51 for s5 with the likes of sting, breather, s/x, kp, dummy, moose, vlad drac. Ended up being a super toxic unstable season in spite of having some awesome people at various times. Mentored a few folks/teams, and looked for a new home. Rejoined Misfits! for low drama content.
2011 till now - Played backup for a number of teams, joined in on the vpolice resurrection, and experienced toxic drama yet again. Haven't played an esea match since 2012. A few in UGC as backup, but not much. Still ring every now and then.

I miss TF2, but I just don't have the time to practice. My biggest regret is how much ridiculous drama I put up with. I should have found or formed a team with good people who wanted to improve, and not worried about immediate results. Really should have mained medic, and lead a team as my dm is shit, but I've had relatively good understanding of the game at various times.

my story

My main regret is not turning up to my final trial with dogs.tf, my 2nd biggest is probably not cutting halz. These were both huge opportunities for me to show I was good that I fucked up. I reckon I'm actually not aids at all, but I made my bed so now I have to lie in it tbh.

This thread is pretty neat; surprised I did not see it earlier.

For me:

2007 - Pre-ordered The Orange Box as per the recommendation of a friend of Deicide's (a friend of mine from TFC who I also played on some old No Heroes servers with). He was the head honcho (possibly founder?) of a pretty awesome soldier guild (lol) in TFC called Dead by Dawn ('DD) and made the game sound super awesome. I hated it back then though and my snowballing dislike for gaming in general coupled with later being a first year college student prompted me to sell my then shoddy rig and focus on other things in life.

2009 and 2010 - Around the time I actually used Facebook, I think, so I actually caught up with a lot of people (including Deicide) who were still up and about when it came to gaming. Talked to people like fozzie, VJ, luckylpf and a few others that made pubbing on texture-less servers sound like the world's most hilarious thing. Piqued my interest a bit and actually made me check out Steam again, though I ended up just casually playing Left 4 Dead and Battlefield: Bad Company 2 instead. Mentioning this year though since this was the year (I think) that I actually watched some competitive TF2 games? I remember eXtine's post-produced casts of games like MoB's playoff game when Phaser, davis and Platinum were on the team as well as (possibly later) vibrant STV chats.

2014 - I believe I started competitive TF2 sometime in the middle or latter part of this year (probably more towards the middle). I remember playing on my first team with PinKushin and izzat, both very different but equally cool dudes. Also, reminixe, red, and a couple others who probably escape my mind from the fairly short period of time I played CEVO with them. I was skeptical of ESEA because I take commitments pretty seriously (as I'm sure not having missed a match and very, very seldom missing scrims shows), but eventually I really, really wanted to get into it because of how interesting being on a team committed to a seemingly serious league sounded. I set off to try and make a team with leaky, carni and all the immigration enforcement people, but most of them call it quits after zaxx bails for the nth time and my roamer debut in ESEA never sees the light of day. Sometime this same year I also played on a UGC team with sdogg2m in highlander (mainly since I knew him from a Badwater pub) and another UGC team with people like phone, tmoney, flatline, drewbi and so on.

At this point, it became very clear to me that if I waited around hoping to find the right group of players to play with or begging friends from a long time ago to play again / make space to play with me, I wouldn't have many opportunities to improve and have fun. I make an all-class lft thread and get picked up by a team (Hungry Hungry Ogres) spearheaded by Giuseppe (who eventually leaves the team and leadership ends up being in Rigel's hands, I believe). The roster initially consisted of eppe, boon, rigel, rooks, klepp and myself. I honestly had a blast while learning a fair bit due to that being my first real competitive experience on demo and a big part of my experience on demo outside of spamming chokes on cp_warpath pubs. Pretty fun season and we end up placing somewhere in the top six after a rather close playoffs run and some rough, but necessary roster changes toward the end of the season (-boon +ricky/punisher and before that, +coupe). I have a feeling if my first ESEA season was a disaster or was plagued with more bullshit than a couple roster changes, I would probably have never played another season or TF2 itself again at all.

Oh, and sometime in 2014 (maybe very early in the year?) I also played in some No Heroes server versus server tournament and won with the Orange server community (the grand prize was a NVIDIA Titan graphics card that we ended up agreeing to give to BlindSight, if I remember correctly). Overall, a pretty cool year for really getting me interested in TF2.

2015 - Hungry Hungry Ogres end up disbanding after various attempts to make a functioning roster. We try me out on roamer at first and n00bies on demo for the sake of trying something new, but eventually klepp (or maybe someone else) called it quits for the sake of not committing time to another season. I'm without a team with pretty much a week left to go until S18 starts, and due to being super busy for the entire month of December and the beginning of January, somehow get asked by topshot to try out for a team he was creating alongside ricky/punisher (not to be confused with bigpun/John pun btw). I somehow play scout despite never really playing it before (I think I had somewhere around a 100 hours in the class at the time) in IM and seem to be able to hang with other scouts in IM (at the time, cheesymacgyver, yeeegz, old cafe scout duo yomps and h5, sezco and a couple others probably). I did not exactly do as well as I wanted to, especially come playoffs against Champagne and Cocaine, but it was a pretty solid season for my first time ever on scout and not even DMing on the class very much let alone really thinking about it. I also met some awesome people throughout the season, including some that the team parted ways with during the season itself. foster, pauldogg, phelon, micah, miwo, tooth, topshot, fragg and nonis were all people I remember fondly from S18 and, despite the sour ending, were pretty fun to play with.

In the off-season, the team goes through some pretty weird turns and eventually decides to take an invite spot despite not doing as well as we wanted in IM playoffs. Pretty much half the team (micah, fragg and I) bails for different reasons. I choose to play CSGO seriously and end up playing on an ESEA Open team with PYYYOUR, BobSevenSevens, snark, coupe and fatcop. I end up hating the game (primarily due to some internal team issues), but it ends up being an interesting experience overall and playing with Brad and BobSevenSevens in particular was pretty fun. Pretty much towards the end of my CSGO season, I agree to back-up for TechDude's team in Open (Clam Bake) and end up playing a lot more than I really anticipated. I pretty much play the majority of playoffs (save first round) for them as well, and the team as a whole goes on to get second place alongside arguably the lamest fucking Grand Finals I've ever seen with something related to IRC hosting fucking my Internet connection for the second map of the grand finals and causing harbleu to come in on short notice while eulogy lagged around the server with 300 ping or something. Free win for whatever team paddie was on (6cuties, I think).

S19 would definitely have been my most frustrating season if it not were S22 and the fact that S19 wasn't really a full season for me anyhow. The only bright side to it was playing with *literally* everyone on Clam Bake was pretty fun even if they did not take things too seriously or random bullshit like network issues came up. Also, this was the season (arguably) I met some future teammates as well as friends in playoffs as well. I beat -bird noises- by subbing in for the last two maps of some BO3 and, as some may know, went on to play for/lead -bird noises- for the next three seasons pretty much. The off-season before I joined -bird noises- was pretty strange, with me almost committing to a team that topshot and tooth were making and even trying out as demoman for an iteration of Pizzagon that would go on to pick-up hassassin (arguably the start of his success in TF2 since he went on to win IM that season and was a huge part of that team winning as well). I really, really wanted to play a projectile class at this point since, despite doing pretty well in the shitfest that was S19 Open playoffs with little to no practice on scout, it felt like I had a lot more potential on demoman or roamer at the time.

Instead of really aiming for just about any team to play demo or roamer on, I accepted mattb's offer to play on some iteration of -bird noises- he was getting together on Voll and train's behalf for S20. I literally knew of no-one on the team at that point, with the exception of hellbent who I viewed rather negatively because he bailed on lucrative in S18 just to make playoffs and dealt with that very poorly, so I really did not know what I was running into aside from karova's word that train and Voll were pretty good teammates and ricky saying it was probably going to be a good team. Surprisingly, the season goes pretty smoothly without overwhelming team drama or anything. We, unfortunately, fall short of winning of IM and place fourth due to never really figuring out the team that had habib, botmode, sen, h5, zilly and ictus on it. That was the only team we lost to in matches throughout the entire season and arguably the only team that made us feel truly uncomfortable that season. The off-season ends up being pretty strange and a bit dramatic, but ultimately, we decide to take the plunge into invite with indust on medic instead of mattb and after convincing train, and perhaps sigh as well, that it was truly worth it.

2016 - S21 was looking pretty awesome, honestly, and though I had no doubt that it could be horrendous to play Invite and we could have gone 5-11 or, god forbid, 0-16, things were looking pretty awesome back then and just the challenge of invite / playing against spectacular players and adapting to them was amazing. Unfortunately, not everyone else on my team back then really felt that way and arguably train in particular really cracked under the pressure/hated the game/hated the team/whatever excuse. We end up having to cut train to my utter dismay and despite me trying to hype not only him, but everyone on the team up and attempting to keep everyone motivated while focusing on my own game.

Linkuser comes to the rescue and literally after a night and a pre-game of scrims later, and after the team was a little disgruntled perhaps from having to cut train, we have a fantastic 3-1 half against 20b/TSU and end up closing the game 3-2 with quite a bit of a struggle in the second half. Not exactly the finest victory, but it was a great morale boost for the team and also showed that our potential as a team was a step higher by simply having a sixth teammate that cared a bit more about the game and did not have an emotional breakdown at arguably the worst times possible. The rest of the season goes on to be rather uneventful with us never being able to close out matches against EVL/Luca Goers and losing to them 4-3 on two occassions (including a Viaduct match that ended up being decided by one uber exchange). We lose to TSU/20b the second time we face them on Process 5-3 and our playoff run ultimately concluded with an 8-8 record at 5th place. Not great, but hey, pretty good for a first season of invite and arguably a season where I dragged people into invite that probably would have never gone into invite otherwise down the line.

Fast forward to S22, we part ways with hellbent and eventually indust as well while Linkuser chooses to take a break in order to take care of some family stuff. Looking back at that off-season, cutting indust was arguably the biggest mistake I've ever made in TF2 since I forgot how rare it was to have a pretty cool-minded guy, albeit with his faults, on medic that would show up to scrims and matches when you wanted him to. Even if there was going to be friction between him and corsa or possibly corsa not even joining -bird noises- as a result of keeping indust, our medic situation later in the season was just incredibly frustrating to deal with and a big reason why I hated playing most of S22 and almost came to a point in the latter half of the season where it felt like I should just quit. S22 was arguably the most inconsistent season I played period, and that was in part due to me hating/not really shining in a role aside from combo scout and also being extremely frustrated with having to be "the guy" to talk people out of slumps or bring people back to earth as the team leader. I also honestly have no idea why I coaxed train to play medic for us of all people since the release of OW and just a general distinterest in order to do anything to improve himself / help other people on the team like sigh work better with him ended up screwing us big time later in the season. train also never really played medic before outside of ultiduo medic, so in hindsight it was a pretty retarded decision that makes me wonder why no-one really contested me on.

In a nutshell, we end our season with a 9-7 record and closely missing out on playoffs for the second season in a row. We go through a total of three medics throughout the season, ending on train. Ironically, the last match we played against RONIN ended in a 4-5 that was arguably determined by one uber exchange as well in the last round. I also think we somehow made boomer hate TF2, though those aren't his words and I really don't know how he felt about the season's conclusion. Personally, I really couldn't take much away from the season at all though my understanding of "flank scout" did get better towards the end. I also had some decent performances throughout the season, though alongside some really frustrating moments like rolling FROYO BLK for three rounds in the first half and then getting rolled five rounds for the last 17 minutes of the second half on a map like Sunshine. We somehow stay true to our -bird noises- name and accumulate the most in-match time across ESEA as well due to how long some of our matches were.

The off-season afterwards, half of the team pretty much leaves on its own accord with boomer leaving for work-related reasons. train and Voll leave because they did not enjoy the game/possibly playing on the team in particular. The "core" of the team kind of dissolved on a pretty sour note, and no amount of previous interaction/motivational spiel/effort/friendship/whatever seemed to really make it anything but sour. Off-seasons ends up being pretty loose with me wanting to play again with the hope that finding dedicated, reasonable teammates would be doable. I somehow piece things together amid some very confusing roster mix-ups that ended up leaving players like botmode and Nursey out in the open, and also grabbed Rolling who seemed like he had a lot of potential and would benefit from a nice team in invite. corsa also elects to play again, though most likely because the team was his only option. Literally a week into the regular season, I start feeling like the same mindset-related problems are happening with the team again and nobody can seemingly solve them without getting overly defensive or not really communicating their perspective. I end up leaving the team and paying arekk up to play in my place on short notice due to not really enjoying practice, playing or anything with the team and also having to factor in a decision I would have to make later on to be missing for two to three weeks of the season. Before I did that, we also had a pretty unfortunate loss to Meat Market (now known as Circa eSports) that somehow made some people (myself included) think of the loss in the most asinine way possible instead of addressing issues on the team. Kind of unfortunate to end on that note personally, but I would be lying if I were to say I would feel any different having left the day before the first match in the season or something.

All-in-all, I walked away from actively competing in TF2 with a sense of failure (especially because of S22) when it came to being a leader and a huge sense of regret in regards to focusing too much on my teammates sometimes and not just perfecting my own play. Now I just play Kunkka in DotA 2 pubs and Overwatch while thinking of my good times of TF2 (early -bird noises- / hbv / Clam Bake / Hungry Hungry Ogres). Also an occasional filthy pugger.
