soldiers who sit on top of high ground or bomb constantly are the worst thing to deal with in dm, especially on aids maps like gran or gully

People can still play soldier and pound on even ground. Rocketjumping to get to a fight isn't too bad but if you're on gran mid and a soldier bombs in from behind crates and hits you with a rocket that doesnt help ur soldier aim or anyone's movement, also people sitting atop crates looking down or people on top of the nipple on gully shooting down is awful to deal with and doesnt help as much as walking forward and aiming rockets.

pine_beetleAdebisiBack to the demoman discussion, where does Kaidus rank? Out of interest.
He has all the skill and dm to be the best demo in the game. He questions his own world class talent and his teamates against adversity, which makes him choke in the bigger games. Ranking is hard to put him somewhere because he has the skill to be #1 but the confidence and killer instinct isn't there.
What makes you say that?
Some great demos, but I think the phrase 'mad skills' is really befitting of Kaidus. Can do crazy things. In terms of how he ranks, I couldn't say though.

while there's a good point to the popular opinion of HL splitting competitive tf2, a large majority of 6s TF2 being in a stalemate for so long was entirely to do with how painfully difficult it is to get into
blaming HL for being able to accomplish getting new people in is brushing off that huge chunks of 6s' accessibility relied on a really small amount of community leaders, several of which left over the years as a result of becoming so exhausted. if 6s had the amount of people willing to constantly help out like HL did, 9v9 would've died years ago

Pyro could be fixed by removing minicrits on reflect, removing airblast's ability to affect player movement, and probably making airblasting more difficult via smaller aim/timing margins. In exchange, the class should considerable buffs to movement and range damage. I'm imagining the flamethrower working like the quake plasma gun, with plasma climbing and reflect.

1. Cosmetic items and skinned weapons (including botkiller/festive/australium variants) should be removed from the whitelist in competitive settings (pugs/league play - not referring to Valve MM)
The community obsesses over maximizing their framerate and high uncapped fps improves your user experience. I would much rather have a higher framerate over the option to show off my favourite tf2 items.
Valve will never release a command to disable cosmetics client side. Nohats mod does not disable all of the client side calculations associated with cosmetics/skins. Its a simple text edit for an admin to make and it would benefit a large portion of the community.
2. After watching DHS I think a voteban system for Engineer/Heavy/Sniper/Spy/Pyro is in order. Each team should be allowed 1 ban from the 5 choices. Sniper and Engineer would probably be the 2 most frequent choices but that's to the benefit of the game (from a participant and spectating pov). Thalash playing 15.5 minutes of sniper (on one map) and getting 5 frags is good for nobody involved.

Both lange and dashner gave a lot to this game, however when they left the scene they gave a vibe of "I've given all I can to this game and the game still isn't the big hit I wish it was. If what I did wasn't enough for this community, nothing will be, so I'm leaving."

CEVO was a failure not due to any fault of the community, but because it provided an inferior service to ESEA. The only reason to play CEVO was if you had a moral issue with ESEA's management, and I think the actual experience of playing it left a bad taste in people's mouths and made a lot of them quit the game.
*I realize this isn't an unpopular opinion.

From watching him play against mixup. He was afraid of them. He went into those games believing he would lose, and if you go in with that mindset you will lose. mixup had the strongest killer instincts of any team ever. They always went in believing they were the best team and everybody else was garbage. They had that desire to win at all costs which is very important in big games. Never ever counted themselves out and that's why they won so many games where everybody else thought they were done and out.
