Is there really conferences for open again? Why?

I'm not sure that's final. The league status post claims conferences were merged this morning but I don't see a "complete" marker (or "in progress" for that matter) next to it like the things before it. Guess we'll find out at 11 EST when schedules are supposedly gonna be released.

It would be cool to have some interviews, I had a few planned but never got around to them WOOPS

I'm confused, what are the conferences and why are they a bad thing?

conferences are divisions based on regions and they are bad since they can skew rankings and allow worse teams to have easier seasons and make playoffs while better teams dont

As much as conferences suck they only suck for teams that would go 0-1 in playoffs, if u deserve to make playoffs u still will

That being said conferences are retarded when u only have 50 ish teams

they also suck if you have projectile players on both coasts

in the past there have been schedules that come out early and then they are redone, idk why

well another thing is that the schedules say the matches are supposed to be played yesterday and tomorrow so they will probably be redone idk about conferences though i hope we don't have them, it messes with seeding alot.

According to the league status post "matches should be able to be scheduled soon (TM)" so seems unlikely?

I am not sure where to post this but i was wondering if we could like confirm or make sure we are going to be using the recent versions of the maps because some maps have been updated and also i think we have had unupdated versions in the past. i think all we need is cp_sunshine official, cp_metalworks official, cp_snakewater_u13 and cp_granary_pro_rc4. correct me if we need anything else or i have something wrong. (i think rc8 is the newest version of product, which esea is using but idk tbh.)

metalworks official really isnt better (some of the doors are more normalized but the lobby still has fucked up props on the roof that messes up jumps and the change on flank just swapped one prop for a shittier one thats backwards) sunshine is arguable but tbh i prefer the other version

ether and i have decided on top of the power rankings, which includes 4 matches of the week, we will interview a player of each class, who did well or is up and coming or whatever each week (5 players total). so if you get a random add from ether or myself, thats the reason why.
