I'd imagine your sniper aim improves as your aim in general improves. So MGE scout?
jimmijplay training maps in csgo with the same sens
i think scoped fov and scoped sens in csgo is slightly different but correct me if i'm wrong

Scones-Headshot training on tr_walkway
tr_walkway has bad hitboxes for hitscan, dont use it
also if you constantly put yourself in risky situations in pubs as sniper its a nice way to improve a bit at him

i think it's .81 zoom sens to get 1:1, and thats abt the same for tf2. But with the awp, there may be some exceptions however, since fov is 20 when using the awp, while using the sniper rifle in tf2 is 40 fov.

I think pubbing is actually the best way to improve at sniper, could be wrong.
I played some csgo on the same sens as tf2 and my sniper aim improved quite a bit

Nah, different kind of aim. Just play lots of sniper: pubs, lobbies, pugs etc.

just gonna go ahead and post this before saam wakes up

TF2: zoom_sensitivity_ratio 0.7934714131880923806199067
CSGO: zoom_sensitivity_ratio_mouse 0.818933027098955175
Those two settings are equivalent (because scoped fov's are different), as long as your regular sens is the same and you only ever use the AWP's first scope setting and never the second. It's pretty minor but that should help you adjust better and get used to aiming with different fovs more.
faggetAre there no aim maps in tf2 like in csgo?
There are tons. tr_newbots, tr_aim, tr_arena, tyler_rocket_shooting, etc. and then a some more specific ones like tr_medic. Nowhere near as much as csgo, but they're still here too.

Pubs? Because people move so randomly and there are different classes to shoot
Then again, such a low pressure environment may not help with practice for more high pressure shots and where you have to quickly peek.

Does interp change anything? like hitreg for hitscan cause my shot arent connecting.
you hold w as sniper in pubs
i know lots of snipers who practice on cp_orange but that's always full of aids counter sniping for me
if you wanna get in the habit of hl sniper (i.e. clicking on pubbers but not being able to hold w) then you gotta play lobbies on something like viaduct

Setting your interp to 0.031 MIGHT improve your general hitscan aim, because player models move a lil bit more smoothly. At least it helped me.

It's pretty negligible though I think, and less interp can make you see projectiles quicker.

Making you see projectiles quicker is negligible, nobody has 15ms reaction time. 0.031ms interp basically "averages" the position of enemy players models and smooths the animations by definition. It's a pretty big deal for hitscan players which is why a lot of them use it.

I don't agree with this at all. I may not be great at scout but my sniper is abysmal. My understanding of depth is thrown off completely with a scope.

sniper lobbies are the best per unit of time. You get to play fulltime sniper, practice your sniper v sniper against someone who isnt a pubbie, and the players run the gamut of brain dead to invite pretty regularly
pubs are ok
everything else is shit
how fast and consistently you can put yr crosshair on something is way less important than learning to track and predict moving targets. by tf2 standards I'm an alright sniper but im ass in CS cause I dont have a clue how to predict people's dodging, even if I can snap my aim really quick.
also set yr interp to higher than .031 or w/e. I have mine set at 3 ticks (~.05) since projectiles aren't that big of a deal compared to not getting fucked by dropped packets on sniper. If you only play 6s you might as well set it to .1 or something since you'll be dead against projectiles regardless

tbf to you, tf2 has a weird default scope sensitivity scale since the formula for the reduced sensitivity is calculated off of fov_desired rather than actual FOV

grind turbine pubs until u think u are consistent enough
