It's just passed 12 AM local time and having just eaten two giant sandwiches and drank a big cup of coffee, I'm on my way to an all-nighter. What are your some of your stories about your first or funniest all-nighter?
middle school @ friends house w/ shitty junk food, black ops, and staying up til 7am were probably some of my favorite times of my life
I was 9ish and hid under my covers playing Pokémon all night grinding the elite 4
only time i ever pulled an all nighter is when i couldn't sleep one night last summer so i walked around town at 3 AM while watching bear's stream on my phone

During an all nighter I thought it would be beneficial to just walk around at night at some point to grab something from like a convenience store like an energy drink and some chips or something. I didn't even realize that store isn't 24/7 so I have to walk across a bridge and further for half an hour to get to Tim Hortons and get some coffee and donuts and some chicken soup. On the way back (probably fueled by my sleep deficient state of mind) I was under the delusion that someone was following me so I was sweating like mad on the way back. It didn't help that it was also during the transition from Fall to Winter so I was sweating in like -15 Celsius so it was really uncomfortable. I ended up taking the bike route path that my neighborhood has and hiding inside the trash can to hide from my non existent stalker. I ended up staying there for who knows how long until the sun came up and I walked back home. My Mom was in the middle of making breakfest when she saw me walk through the front door covered in trash, crying, tired, and delirious and for a while thought I took drugs outside and got lost somehow. I also ended up not watching what I wanted to watch for the All Nighter anyway and looking at the VODs it wasn't that interesting anyway.
tl;dr I took a walk in cold weather at night walking around 1.5 hours and ended up hiding in a trash can until the sun came up.

I have pulled an all nighter every night before the first of school for the past 3 years since my sleep schedule was so screwed up.
In 8th grade for a friend's bday party we got a bunch of alchohol and took it to the only logical place which was the church on the neighboring street. It must have been like 4:00 AM when a car pulled into the lot (it was a Sunday morning - great planning) and so we hid on the roof for like 30 minutes. Eventually one of these church administrators saw one of us on the roof so we drunkenly ran as fast as we could to hide. Some hid in bushes, and the rest of us got back to the house. A couple minutes later the same car that pulled into the lot pulled into my friend's driveway. They started frantically knocking on the door and we were all scared to death his parents would wake up, and by some miracle they didn't. After about an hour of being in the driveway they left. We then went and collected our friends still hiding on the church ground and got back to the house and by then it was the next day. We never got caught. And that was my first all-nighter.
I've actually been on that roof a couple times since that night, the alchohol isn't there anymore...

My all nighter is boring. I'm doing homework, browsing tf.gg and was on snapchat until the last one of my friends fell asleep. FeelsBadMan

I still remember playing videogames over the weekend at a friend's house until like 8 am, and then going to get energy drinks at the gas station when we could barely walk.

I was hiking in the woods near Marseille and I climbed up one of those calanque summits. I stayed up there until sunset for some spectacular photos so I had to climb down as it got dark. I took a wrong turn somewhere and ended up in the middle of the forest with no real visible path. Then suddenly it got windy and cloudy and dark as shit. Could barely see my own feet. I used my camera and phone as flashlights for a bit but they both ran out really quickly.
So I was in the middle of the woods, miles away from the city and couldn't see anything, just trying to make my way downwards. Suddenly, I heard some rustling in the shrubs a bit further down. I kept walking in the direction a little but the rustling got louder, so I swerved left a bit. I could hear that something was still in that bush further down. Then the same noise started from a bush behind me, too. And just a little bit later, a third noise appeared further behind and further up, this one moving fast in sort of a half circle around me and the other two.
I was so freaked out that I went all tribal and picked up a big straight branch and slowly moved sideways in a defensive stance until I found a little low ground that was mostly enclosed by bushes, where I just stood and guarded the entrance for something like an hour. The noises didn't come closer but they didn't stop, and I could still hear the third one moving back and forth some distance away. Still couldn't see shit. After standing there forever, I decided to try and make a run for it, so I moved out and tried to get away sideways. But I had to approach the bush where the first noise was coming from. And as I got just a little bit closer, the bush snarled at me. I NOPEd the fuck out and went right back into my hidey-hole. I just stood there, branch up and next to a tree I hoped I could climb up quickly if necessary, while the noises started moving around my location again. Keeping this in mind, I was pretty scared.
I stood there on high alert for another several hours with the rustling still moving circles around me, until it finally seemed to be moving away. I could still hear it thought and occasionally it seemed to approach again and move back away. Eventually, I allowed myself to sit down, still holding gandalf's staff, but sleeping wasn't an option. It was also cold and super windy, and I was sitting on roots and rocks and it was uncomfy as fuck. The night felt fucking eternal and at some point when I thought it was maybe 4am now, the clouds went away for a second and the moon was still high up. It sucked major ass.
In the morning, I was so wasted that by the time there was any light, I was like fuck it, and decided to just roll out with my branch and go caveman on their asses if they were still there, whatever they were. But the noises had already moved far away before and when I got to the bush, there was nothing there and I peacefully made my way back to the city and my hostel room, where I collapsed on my bed and slept all day.
The card with the sunset photos has since been lost.

I'd say about four years ago now, when I was 12 and in middleschool, I hid under my bed with my ps2, a tv, and star wars battlefront two. I stayed up all night and acted like I was going to school with some friends in a car pool, but ended up staying home, hiding under my bed, playing star wars bf2, conquest mode (the board game thing) all day. Nobody every found out :) #thuflyfe
I met a group of friends a few months back and we always managed to stay up all night most of the summer. Towards the last month of summer we started staying at my house and one night we were up until 3am playing on my Wii U when we suddenly decided to go on about a 30 minute walk to a 24/7 convenience store. We chill there for about an hour and walk back to my house about 5am and when we get to the corner of my block we heard a very loud scream nearby. We've all heard it so it wasn't just being super tired or whatever. We decided to check out where the screaming was and around that corner was some black car with a group of guys surrounding someone in the middle of the road. We were in a safe distance from peeping around the corner of a house. After five minutes of looking we suddenly got scared? and decided to head back to my house which was right down the road.
Now the worse part is that when we got back to my house we were way too curious to find out what was going on. So we then decided to head back out of my house and back to the block's corner. The car and the people were gone so we decided to walk where the car was parked. It was still kinda dark but we could still easily tell there was some liquid in the middle of the road (still no idea what it was). Still being idiots we decided to walk farther around the block and we saw a man walking around with two weird objects in his hands. We all suddenly felt scared and attempted to ignore that the man was walking towards us. I decided to say "hey" to the guy and he said "hello" back. The two objects in his hands turned out to be newspapers and he was just a very buff paperboy lol. It was the most genuinely scared I've ever felt though. We never really found out what the car in the middle of the road and the group of people were about though. We just assumed it was something to do with the paperboy. All that build up still made me super scared of that paperboy.
That's probably the most memorable 'all nighter' I've had. Most of the time when I stayed up all night lately has been me just playing tf2 or dumb games with my friends. When I was younger I would grind levels the fuck out of my Chaos in Sonic Adventure 2.

This is my best story of a collegiate all nighter that doesn't include lots of illegal activity.
I took a physics class (BAD IDEA FOR SOMEBODY WHO SUCKS AT MATH) with two of my best friends who happened to be a Bulgarian named Georgi and a guy from Bangladesh who lived in his closet named Tapash. It was a Friday, we had this big project due that day at, according to the professor, 5 PM. However, we had inside information from a friend who was a physics major, that said this professor always left campus well before 5 pm on Fridays and that you could, in fact, drop off any projects or papers by sliding them under his office door at any point before 9-10 AM on Saturday.
Ok, great, the plan was we'd all work on these projects together to pool our resources, drink some Slivovitz in the process and then go out on the town once all was said and done. Great.
So around 3pm we get started working on this stuff. Take numerous "study breaks" to smoke cigars I'd bought for the occasion, play some Gran Turismo on the "x-station" that Georgi had built - it was a combination PS2 and Xbox lol. It quickly turns into about 7-8 PM before we actually got any real work done and finally we finish at about 11 pm.
So, the 3 of us march down to the science building to drop off our papers at the professors office. PROBLEM. The building is locked up tight. We call some friends who are nerds thinking maybe they're still in there. No go, can't get in the building. So, we decide if any campus security see us we're just going to claim that one of us lost his wallet earlier in the day while we start trying windows and other doors to see if they're unlocked. Eventually we find a window that will open from the outside, but it's one of those old style slat windows so the opening is VERY slim. Tapash thankfully was very skinny so we picked him up by his waist and inserted him into the window. He yelled out that he could open the door.
So, we throw the papers in after him and start walking to the door we'd assume he'd exit through. He opens the door about 2 minutes later and says that we're good because there were papers all over the floor in his office that he could see laying in there. JUST, then a flash light gets shone on us, and who is it but campus security. They ask us what the hell we're doing in the science building at 11 pm on a Friday night, we inform him, as per the plan, that there was a lost wallet. Campus security guy nicely opens the door for us, escorts us to the room we say we need to visit, no wallet is found of course, and we head out to find more mischief. I ended up not coming home until something like 10-11 AM.

ive been living night life for like 2 or 3 years before entering uni and even after that i tend to nosleep every once in a while
best times ive had when staying up all night were when i:
- was 9-10 yo and just played thps3 and 4 all night grinding that airport stage; also all nights of playing tf2 till 10 am were neat
- once i took a drug with my friend and spent 10 hours doing all kinds of things and afterwards we went for a walk at like 6 am and that was magnificent
- recently i spent all night writing a huge translation text for a company couple of weeks ago and they hired me today LOL

one time i pulled an all nighter with friends in mumble and we talked about our masturbation stories until 6am
last all nighter i had was due to CRIPPLING asthma preventing me from sleeping so it was a combination of trying to put myself to sleep and watching mumas stream. THANK U MUMA :)
convinced myself that to fix my sleeping schedule I must pull a double all nighter so I didn't sleep for two days
trippaonly time i ever pulled an all nighter is when i couldn't sleep one night last summer so i walked around town at 3 AM while watching bear's stream on my phone
what an honor
first time i remember was sleeping over at my cousin's house when I was like 12 and we stayed up playing sly on the ps2 (forget which game)
not exactly an all nighter but a notable mention is at i58 after the grand finals were over and zaka bought dave dreamboat me and one other person whose name I forget shots of jack daniels
being a good law abiding citizen at age 18, i had never had more than a few sips of alcohol before then and it didn't help that I had forgotten to eat anything but a subway sandwich for lunch that day
long story short, after the train to the airport (where my hotel was) closed at 2am, I ended up drunkedly wandering around the parking lot outside the venue looking for a way to get back
my plan of using google maps was a no-go because my phone died on me about 15 minutes in
after probably 45 minutes i gave up and returned to the venue and got to witness dreamboat motorboating admirable (after which i think banny yelled NOOOOOOOOO!)
it was a pretty solid night
i think i ended up getting a ride back to the hotel at like 7am and eating a super early breakfast and then passed out in my room
almost slept through my flight which would have sucked
thankfully i know now not to take shots on an empty stomach and to drink water before going to bed
i distinctly remember walking through U.S. customs and upon seeing obama's face on a flatscreen TV thinking "oh hey it's that black guy"
what an honor

30 hour plane trip home from germany
I figured that because I was getting home in the evening local time it would be a smart idea to not sleep on the trip so I would definitely avoid jetlag by being able to sleep when I got home!
I then spent the entire trip playing some mario olympic game on my friend's ds iirc
Then I went home, was rude to my entire family and slept for ages and was jetlagged for a week or two.
Should have just slept but hey
