Helpful/relevant/important guides on steam just got dumpstered. This isn't a huge problem for TF2 necessarily, but there are lots of SFM guides and guides to help with settings and fps for most games on steam.

what. why. seriously, the number of times I've had issues in TF2, googled it, and found the answer on those forums...
it's like Valve doesn't just not want to make interesting games anymore, they don't want to have to maintain their old games, either.

Nah, Valve employees are incredibly competent, the problem is their project management.
It legitimately doesn't exist.
The whole approach is "this needs to be done, let's make sure everyone knows that and hope someone does it". Of course that means that timetables or coordination aren't really a thing either.

They probably don't want to maintain the old forum software any more. Security, platform maintenance, all that stuff.
They were talking about shutting it down 3 years ago. The problem people have is that there was no eta on when it was going to br shut down so archives couldnt be made and everything was lost
