In addition to what others have said, I think part of it comes down to Platinum changing positions so much. According to comp.tf, Platinum switched roles six times between demo, pocket, and roamer on Classic Mixup. Whereas b4nny played every season as demo until season 15. Another part of it may be that, even at his height, he was generally regarded (correctly or incorrectly; I am no expert, merely a reader of old articles and watcher of old VODs) as either no. 2 or 1a for NA demos to b4nny's 1. Platinum himself said (it might have been in his AMA?) that b4nny was better than he was on the majority of maps.

idk how alfa isnt getting more votes tbh, hes like a top tier sniper and a super good spy, and not to mention hes the only person to make lan on every class, i think hes demonstrated pretty well that he can play literally every class incredibly well
also maybe once votes stop rolling in take the top 4 or 5 in each category and make a new poll so we can start narrowing down the very best

yuki's pocket at i46 (or 49 can't remember) was the best soldier play since pocket was the power fragging class in the TLR and then Platinum primes
those 3 have to be the best pockets besides reptile who may well have been the best tf2 player but didn't play anywhere near as long
