I think one of the only ways to get into competitive CS:S is to buy ESEA.

Im not sure though.

I did a few CS:S and CS 1.6 pugs and I have to say it is the absolute worst community ever. I love the game but the people in it are such huge dirtbags. They will keep on shit talking no matter what. I got a 4k and then died as the last person alive, and some guy just called me shit. They don't even joke around, all they do is call you shit all day.

CS:GO is pretty good. The only things I really miss about 1.6 are the more visible player models (fuckin brown on brown on brown in this game) and the AK sound.

i know cs:go is good but i just prefer the mechanics of cs:s and the way things feel which was why i was hoping for a source mentor :>

Not really. When I first joined the competitive tf2 community everyone was quite nice. Same with Dota 2 and LoL. But in my first ESEA PUG I heard so much shit talking it was crazy. I thought it was maybe an abnormal experience, but after another 10 PUGs I realized this was not the case; every single pug had people rage and shit talk. They would shit talk invite players as well as open players, and they would shit talk good players as well as bad players. It was a horrendous experience over all

2/10 would not recommend.

does anyone else who played competitive 1.6 agree that the m4 in csgo doesnt do anything

like i kill people fine with the ak but for whatever reason they destroyed the accuracy especially midrange spraying and i cant do anything with m4 anymore
