what do I need to alter to remove any potential tooltip panels from appearing whenever I highlight a button on the main menu? Is it something within gamemenu.res, mainmenuoverride, or both?

Unskilled did a good job explaining stuff but I made a more formatted nerd essay because I felt like it

1st question: Very subjective since in 6s there's pocket and roamer, but also it depends if you're asking who is all time best or current best.

2nd question: 5cp and koth (basically all the 6s maps) but also mge and DM (deathmatch) servers are pretty popular among many players regardless of what class they primarily play to warm up and get better

3rd question:

• Either stock rocket launcher, original, or cow mangler in the majority of situations in a competitive setting for primary weapon
  
• Kind of split between gunboats and shotgun for secondaries. Reserve shooter is banned for obvious reasons and the banners are good but there isn't a ton that you'd be gaining from using them over a shotgun. Roaming soldiers typically use gunboats for higher mobility and so they don't have to take as many health packs or heals from the medic in a traditional 6s setting, while for pocket soldiers it's really personal preference. For example, rando often runs shotgun while b4nny choses gunboats in most situations.
  
• The escape plan has basically been the melee of choice ever since it was the equalizer, but some soldiers run market gardener to meme usually. Pain train is also used in rare cases but your best option is using the escape plan

I was rostered (and played) on the 1st place silver 6s team in season 20 and still haven't gotten a first place medal. Only a participant one. Still bothers me a bit but I'm not as concerned about it now as I was when I had originally gotten it

Also I did have the 3rd place highlander medal for some time but I just looked in my inventory and it's no longer there so good job fixing a bug I guess

so I got the VTFs done, but I'm not sure what to do to get the VMT files. Should I just duplicate the one that I got from the m0rehud files? Or is there another step that I need to take to get them? Are they even required?

check inside your tf_weapon_particle_cannon file in the "crosshair" section (should be at the very bottom) and check the file path. If it's not the same as the one in your rocketlauncher file, just copy the file path and paste it in

vtf crosshair, so if you have cl_crosshair_file "" or the none option selected in your settings it will change depending on what weapon you have out. So yeah I guess a weapon switch crosshair assuming that's what you meant
