this reminds me of a guy named Duffle. he was killing it in newbiemixes about a year ago and now has recently won ugc silver 6s. he's always been known for his "insane aim", but a few months ago was vac banned on this account:
http://steamcommunity.com/id/MrDufflebag
I never thought he was suspicious but all of his TF2 items disappeared when he was vac'd so I unno. the reason I bring this up is because he's been playing on this alt:
http://steamcommunity.com/id/freeduffle
and is apparently looking for a team. so if anyone is considering him please proceed with caution.

I played with polar on 9 April, and the lobby host kicked him after the tick below. I immediately posted a ban request on TF2C forums and haven't heard back, although it has been viewed by admins 5 times. After I said something to him in the main chat he privated his profile. His friend "strugglesnuggle" (http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198040082872) insisted he just has a good flick.

Yea his vac was for TF2. I remember talking to him right after and he was pretty upset about his items. He still claims to be innocent and all his friends back him up (not saying he doesn't hack). He's more than likely going to play UGC next season so idk.

Thanks for that. It appears he expanded his aimbot fov from the normal <5 degrees to something wild like maybe 30-90 degrees or so. I actually made a short youtube clip showing this guy in action. I may start doing more of these, as its fairly quick and easy (no editing involved).

That's called Silent Aimbot
There's quite a handful of players suspected of using it but not to that extreme.
If you make it subtle enough and play a class that has bullet spread it would be really hard to tell if the player is legit or not.

I doubt he did either which is why he got vac'd on it. Was probably being more aggressive with the cheats and didn't realize the level of security.

how do you tell what game someone got vac banned in?
how do you tell what game someone got vac banned in?
THEBILLDOZERhow do you tell what game someone got vac banned in?
deduction. TF2 VACs will empty their inventory of tradeable items, and they probably won't have played the game since their ban.

Caught another cheater tonight. Joined a HL upward lobby with Polk and a couple other friends. After getting consistently sniped by the enemy sniper who had 1900 hours and 0 lobbies on TF2C, we noticed he had over 75 points and the rest of his team had <25 points. Polk mentioned he was fishy in a 6's lobby sniping the whole lobby and hitting everything. We figured he had to be cheating, so we repped him on TF2C and got rid of him.
Then after the lobby was over, I investigated him a little further and noticed a twitch link on his profile.... The first video i watched of him, you could see the name of his hack program on the top of the screen right after he launched TF2. He immediately covered it over with the server list browser.

It's great to catch this guy so quickly after only his second lobby on TF2C! I already filed a ban report there.

The cheaters sure are busy today, but thats ok, I'm here ready to catch them! :)
A friend actually linked me to this lobby and said they were a little suspicious of this guy. I launched a small investigation. I usually review a few past logs, look for very high kill counts, very high DPM, very high accuracy etc. In this case I found some lobbies with extremely high DPM, then I went back a few pages and found the guy was complete garbage a few months ago. Doing like 3 kills to 20 deaths in a HL lobby as a heavy.
It just didn't add up. A lobby example of his extremely high DPM: http://logs.tf/756645?highlight=76561198143559320
After that I went to his tf2 ranking profile and noticed something interesting: http://beta.tf2playerrankings.com/profile/76561198143559320?source=tf2center
If you look there under the sniper section you will see that in the first 20 or so logs, he averaged right around 200 DPM on sniper. Then after log number 22 or so his performance skyrockets, and you see a 900 DPM game, followed by an 800 DPM then a 400, 800 and a 500 DPM game. I knew at this point this was a clear indicator of cheats being used for the first time to enhance his sniping ability.
At that point I found the STV for the lobby that my friend originally linked me to: http://logs.tf/773652?highlight=76561198143559320
Sizziling Stats with STV here: http://sizzlingstats.com/stats/363399
I reviewed that, and it was very very clear that he was wallhacking/esp hacking. He spent almost half the game tracking people through walls while scoped in.
With the amount of headshots he was hitting, its also obvious that he was using aim assist (likely small fov aimbot).

Yes I'm aware, the most popular hacking program calls it Silent Aim+ or something like that (according to a guy I caught hacking that gave me some info on it). If you suspect someone of using it, review some STV's, and also pay attention to accuracy stats to see if they are frequently higher than known accuracy averages for high level players (e.g. 40-45 or so for snipers, 70-75 or so for scouts).
