Apperently, according to a former developer the optimiazaiton of this game was an afterthought at best. valve was riding the high from half life 2 and portal, becacuse tf2 had been the ball and chain theyve been carring since their rookie days in the industry, they said screw it and gave it to one of their shitty side studious. it was a bunch of jackassess with only a handfull of serious people making the game, the rest spend the time making dumb ideas and adding shit jsut to laugh at players. they only gave a fuck whenever something threatened the profits of the game (Remember the idling crisis? Thats the most active tf2 devs have EVER BEEN, furthermore the angels remorse, anti cheaters item the halo, was made to keep players docile and kept them hoping. Classic example of pavlovs dog. This condition was so strong that event today team fortress players stay hopefull for a new update and a ray of hope, but little do they know they only have one or two guys working on the game, its destigned to fail. So because this, the optimization got left behind, dooming players with baaad pcs, even those whose specs matched what the game had asked for.

did u know the story behind the development of tf2? originally it had dark & gritty themes, aiming to be a realistic and tactical shooter. in the last moment before release, valve saw the growing popularity of cartoon games with arcade mechanics and then turned it into the joke it is now - a kids game.
its no surprise they've abandoned it for games like dota, csgo, even making a sequel for csgo before they even think about adding a new update to TF2. clearly we're deluded to think that they'll lend an hand from the sky and pull the game from the gutter its in. every day in various discussion sites you can see the flood of ppl hopelessly trying to reach out to valve; even after the #SAVETF2 movement we've yet to see any changes being made, just an pathetic christmas update that hasve added nothing but more ugly maps that dont fit TF2s aesthetic and gameplay. hell, you know they themselves havent even put it in any work theyve just selected random submissions from the workshop and tryed to pass it off as their own.

All they ended up getting was a new case and a fe wcosmetics. three days after the update, i was the one who found him with pills and alchoocl next to him on the bathroom floor. I dont know how to describe the feeling, but it was as if seeing a dog limping on the street, covering from the rain. i took him to the hospital and hes still in spychiatric ward, i hoep that he gets better. Every other night id be woken awake by him crying and raging at the neglect of game.

I have far too much to say on this topic but I will give you my very very brief take.

I’m neither Jewish Israeli nor Christian/Muslim Palestinian, I don’t consider myself religious by any stretch of the imagination & as far as politics go I consider myself central, flirting with both left and right depending on what party is currently less insane.

I know Israelis and I known Palestinians,
I have palestinian friends whose grandparents were displaced as a result of the Arab spring war and have since moved from refuge in Lebanon to London, they have strong feelings against the state of Israel. I have friends who’s grandparents were born in Israel before ‘48 as Jews and who’s great grandparents were born in Israel as Jews way before ‘48, who’s grandfathers died during the Yom Kippur war, they in contrast hold strong feelings towards the recognition of the state of Israel. It may come as a surprise to us non Jews but indeed Jews in small numbers have existed in Israel before modern day recognition and in vast numbers if you care to dig up on history.

My friend who’s ‘Palestinian’ has had cousins killed since he’s left sought refuge in Lebanon, who he would tell you died fighting a good cause for the plight of the Palestinians since ‘48, sidestepping the fact that he attacked unarmed civilians at a bus stop in Jerusalem.

My friend who’s ‘Israeli’ grandfather married an Iraqi Jewish woman who fled Iraq due to the prosecution of Jews around the time of 48. He would tell you if it wasn’t for Israel where would have been safe for his grandmother to escape prosecution for being a Jew? Sidestepping the innocent Palestinian lives lost in defence of the state of Israel.
