I am really disappointed by trum here for somehow making this situation worse beyond a shitty fundraiser. So I want to share my experience with him.

(intro) I first met trum when I got him for my team in season 38 of ETF2L. With a pretty dm-heavy roster we were pretty much all completely inexperienced in the realm of prem and needed a medic. I knew of trum as a good ultiduo medic and a div2 winner (iirc) of season 37.

(start of trouble - season 38) As any new team everything was going great atmosphere-wise. Trum was the only out-of-circle guy on the team so of course as one you have to behave until you get a grasp of how the team acts. Fast forward through the season and over half of our scrims were completely griefed by our medic (trum) either muting or deafening in mumble, turning on loud music and saying he can't hear calls or straight up rage quitting after 2 or 3 maps. After the season, despite all the trouble we were down to keep playing with trum, but he left. I didn't keep him as a bad memory but instead a part of an unbeatably fun and bright atmosphere. I thought alright, he's young and troubled like all of us and is just getting his anger out.

(reunion) It is now season 41. I and the rest of Garda took a hiatus after the team died mid-season 40. I am making an offi-only div 1 team to get back into the game. During this time (s38-41) trum played on some good prem rosters and got himself some placements at the top of Europe. Eemes asked me to get trum for our little team and I was being sceptic at first. We got trum and I was happy to play with him again, but his mental did in fact not change, and he emo'd out in our semi-final game. I thought again; Alright, he got a taste of top prem so obviously he won't enjoy playing div 1, it's fine.

(present + link with nubbi trum drama) After tf2easy died, and the whole tendon getting cut from Varmkorv Boogie while having tickets thing happened. I contacted trum (as he was the allegedly the catalyst to that happening (spoiler:yes)) and we talked a bit. Basically he played victim saying he was afraid of what tendon was saying (which I won't go into, on trum's request), and after I heard what he was saying I understood and believed my friend trum. A couple hours after that trum and nubbi cut all contact with their teammates of Varmkorv Boogie and after talking to Hugee (the leader) and us exchanging our trum-experiences I was also added by Arentrir (the soldier) who told me, among other things, this:

After talking to Hugee and Arentrir of Varmkorv Boogie it was clear that trum manipulated his teammates into cutting their old friend (tendon was a part of the original roster and trum joined just for poLANd) to get his old friend nubbi on the roster. This is made even more clear by ympo's reply edit on this very thread.

This is nothing too serious (for me, but very bad for Varmkorv), but it is a headache that would have been avoided very easily just by thinking before doing.
Moral of the story; stand behind your words, be aware there are consequences for your actions, and don't be like trum

edit: I don't want anyone to go and hate on trum, I especially don't condone the guy saying he will jump him at lan, I just hope this is a wake up call and that he can do better.

trum should not be allowed to attend at a lan event. i reported this to etf2l admins and lan organizers months ago but nothing i know of has come of it. id have liked to have posted sooner but i really wasnt comfortable with the situation and it takes time to muster courage to post publicly on this site

for context, the team trum was playing for when this happened was blanc's team. the person who made that "tf2qts" group which poked fun at anyone with a remotely feminine identity. the person who has also been banned for transphobia. now this post isnt about witchhunting everyone who played that night, but if you play with these people, do nothing to stop them or reach out to others to apologize, or say anything to seperate yourself from these people or their actions, how am i not to assume the worst of you :-)

While on the topic of trum I think it's important to mention daga - from what I believe they are super close friends, and not many people might be aware of the latter's behaviour in the past that I would also encourage people be aware of for their own good.

I've played with both trum and daga, though brief, on two separate preseason projects a few years ago now. Trum was dropped from the first roster rather inoffensively - he just made loud noises when he died on medic, and our team agreed that it was disruptive. Though I found the latter -daga - to be especially unpleasant and toxic.

Back in late 2019, I'd heard from a friend that daga was being racist to one of his teammates - he would constantly call him an ethnic slur in comms - one that I will not repeat. I will also not mention the victim but by chance if they ever read this they would know who they are.

Prior to season 36 (2020 spring time) I was a part of a project team with daga. He came across as very agressive in the comms and wasn't afraid to drop the odd slur here or there about the enemy team or their nationality. Overall he brought a very negative environment to what would eventually become one of the best teams I have ever been a part of. The only reason he was on the roster at the time was because he was friends with our team leader, who eventually cut all ties with him after a disagreement was reached during a conversation in mumble in which I was present. There was another Hungarian on our roster, bohoc, who expressed how he had also grown disillusioned by his extremely poor behaviour and attitude.

After being cut from the roster, daga would begin to insult and berate myself at every opportunity he could. His most common method was to just join me in MGE and whether I decided to leave the arena or not, would throw in an insult or two - the highlight probably being the time he typed in chat the following: "Megalodon, your father strangled you as a child" - I know nobody's perfect but that is not how you talk to people - even if its just a videogame. I also suspect that he is the owner of the twitch account "middleofthenights", since that account started to berate me from seemingly out of nowhere, during a samii omegle stream, callling me "cringe" etc. - considerably more tame in comparison.

daga, along with coyo, are the only two players that have ever gone out of their way to harass specifically me as a person outside of scrims and mixes etc.The latter turned out to be a very dangerous individual - one that attempted to seek out minors within the community, which is well documented on this thread. My advice would be to avoid these people as much as you possibly can.

The bottom line is that there unfortunately are always going to be people on the internet who go out of their way to target specific individuals. Such people are not worth yours, or anyone else's time. I hope we all can avoid these people as much as we possibly can, for the betterment of the community as a whole and to hopefully recognise and deal with any suspicious behaviour before things get worse and the situation spirals out of control.

considering theres a lot of under age people playing the game i sort of feel the necessity to mention this, especially since this post has turned into something more about toxicity.
when i got into comp tf2 i was around 15~ i met a crap ton of people over that time (now 23) and one of the things i regret the most is hanging out with certain people because at the time i took a lot of the stuff they said as a joke or "it's not as bad as i think". the stuff im talking about is posting slurs, hate speech, etc. in fact i know people in this thread that do that.
the daga example i can especially relate to me because i talked to people that were exactly like that, the difference with daga for me tho was i first interacted with him by the time i was around 18 - so a bit more mature - and while it might seem obvious now, someone who constantly posts racism, hate speech, shittalking comments (especially when someone like daga has a bind for randomized shit talking lmao) it goes beyond the realm of just video game banter. in fact a while ago i made the decision to just completely avoid people that do that stuff often enough that i can tell its not a joke, and if they do it rarely i make it a point to question their stance on these subjects.

the main reason i wanna make this post is to urge some of the younger people playing this game to seriously look at the character of the people you're talking to, playing in teams with or even pugging with on a regular basis and seriously think about if these are the people you want to be interacting with. while it might seem harmless in the moment, you become a lot like the people you are around a lot and since many of you scrim/pug most nights thats a lot of time you're spending with people that just negatively influence you.

How did this turn into a daga hate thread? I thought nubbi and trum were the focus, not daga. I understand daga has been toxic in the past but he genuinely became a nicer person and has since moved on from the game to focus more on himself. I dont think u can compare him to pple who consistently linger around the community causing drama. He's gone now, leave him in peace.

It hasn’t. I don’t hate daga - despite our history, nor do I hate anyone else who has been called out in the thread, and I never said anything to imply that in my post. If you read my post please note my tone - I’m not being aggressive. I just want people like tikkeh said above to be aware of who they are associating themselves with. I get it, you two have been teammates for a long time and are well acquainted, therefore you feel compelled to defend him and I respect that.

Flick, you and I have had conversations before and they’ve always been positive. I don’t want people to hate others nor do I seek vengeance or attention by expressing my concerns about certain members of the community’s actions or behaviours that I find worrying; a lot of what I experienced from the likes of coyo and daga - the notion of singling people out and targeting them personally - is very reflective of the toxicity expressed in the posts above my own.

Personally, I find it beneficial to talk about these sorts of topics - taboo and ugly as they are - as a way of finding my own closure so that I can also move on in peace. I hope you understand this.

To back up what megaladon said, I'm only using daga as an example because he was just mentioned, I could use many other people but I'd rather not introduce even more people to the discussion. This is still about nubbi but the thing is most of what can be said has already been said about him and the threads just happened to take a turn.
