krakowJunior @ UC Berkeley. Come here if you like to spend a lot of time studying.
And to all ye hopefuls looking to get into top schools such as MIT/Ivy Leagues, you need to have both impressive accomplishments and some luck (unless you're black/mexican/native american/poor) I believe my high school had 6 Intel Semifinalists my senior year, and only 4 of them were accepted to MIT.
I just recently dropped out of Berkeley (EECS) because I ended up getting a job but not graduating. With this kind of economy, the choice is pretty obvious. I plan on finishing (only one semester left), though. Good to see that you understand that it's all study at that school. :) It really is.

I live in Atlanta.
Emory is a really beautiful section of Atlanta. Not too many houses around there that don't cost more than $1,000,000. Congrats on going, that's a great school. There are myriad restaurants that you need to go to in that area. Atlanta is such a great city for those who like delicious food (like me).

dan_cRiddleI'm a freshman at UIUC for CompE. Everything is amazing except maybe the location, we're in the middle of nowhere XD (but gotta love that fiber internet and 5 ping to Chicago servers).
laugh it up with your nice internet in hendrick house while us plebs suffer in ISR
The dorm internet wasn't that bad, besides the whole no provided wireless network.

Well seeing as I won't be starting until September, I really don't know anything that you can't find out through researching and visiting the campus twice. Orientation next week though :O

Took my math placement at Stony Brook yesterday. I really like the campus - even though the weather was shitty the rest of the campus was still aesthetically pleasing. It was nice to be on a campus with buildings that weren't old military buildings from World War II. I have no idea what their internet is going to be like but the dorms look good.
Any good events on the island, or am I going to have to hope my friends become less casual to have a fun LAN?

Will be attending the University of Texas at Austin in the fall, just went to my orientation Monday through Wednesday of this week.
It's a really nice campus, and I'm thankful that I was able to get a scholarship to be able to go to school there. If there's anyone from the comp. community that's in that area, you're welcome to add me, as I move in in two or so months.

Hey guys I'm having a little trouble finding colleges. UofTornto seems pretty nice but I heard its mostly a commuter school. I'm wondering if anybody knows what schools in Chicago or New York have good CS programs? yes, I have tried google but i always get conflicting answers and it makes my brain hurt. My GPA is about 3.4 depending on how my finals went and my SAT scores should be around 1630 or so. I haven't gotten my scores back yet but that was what my score was when I took an SAT prep course. Unfortunately for me I'm kinda awful at math so my score on the math section was kinda low, always around 480. I'm hoping I can help make up for it by taking honors programming next year and doing well in it.

nyu has a pretty good cs thing, since it's merging with poly you should really be able to have a shitload of resources at hand and good teachers as well
only problem is the fact that it's $$$$$$$$$$$$ as fuck, pray for scholarship
