mghughlauriezalman + sennheiser hd555. my headphones just recently broke though after 5 years so i'm going to either get the hd518 or hd558 not sure which the best buy for the money is though.
I had the same choice to make, since they are way more expensive in Germany I went with the hd518, what it comes down to are the materials and the drivers, the 558 uses "better" drivers then the 518 and has velour earpaddings instead of cheaper generic fabric. The difference in sound wasn't too drastic for me to change my mind and the 518 sound incredible coming from a consumer point of view, at first I was kind of disappointed about the cheaper fabrics on the earpaddings since they didn't feel so nice in hand but they are still very comfortable o wear (5+ hours no problem).

I use ttEsports Shock : http://www.ttesports.com/productPage.aspx?p=7&g=ftr#.UiSQdUA09Mo
Simply because ttEsports supports TF2. Headphones are pretty good, I'm not sure on the mic, heard myself on stream once and I sound terribad, could be my settings.
Yes, unbreakable, survived many snow and thunderstorms. Love them :D

KoeitjeYes, unbreakable, survived many snow and thunderstorms. Love them :D
Yeah my first pair survived 8 years of DJing duty (dropped, trodden on, drinks spilled on etc.) and a further 4 years of every day office use. Eventually they were looking too sorry for themselves, so I bought another pair, use the old ones for spares if need be.
Only problem with gaming was that I couldn't hear the sound of my own voice (headphones 2awesome) so tended to bellow into whatever mic I was using.

Interesting, I wear them with glasses without a problem. Have you used other over ear headsets/headphones before?

Razer Barracuda.
they're alright, I like them. comfortable, sound positioning is good.
not very durable, had two broken pairs before.
Blue Snowball mic.
desk mics suck. I mean the sound quality is great, you can really hear each individual keypress on my keyboard...
also have Sennheiser PC 151's (they sound terrible.)
and my DJ headphones which kind of suck in games, just too much bass
surprised ppl care cause sound doesn't even matter in TF2, steal the headphones on the airplane and put some earmuffs over them and ur ready for invite lan tbh.
