I think perhaps you didn't watch that game. DM isn't why we lost and the rounds were more back and forth than "unable to grab more than two rounds" would tend to indicate.

What, no, I don't want that. That we lost is not the question, but it would be nice if a write-up were made on something other than passing familiarity with match statistics. When I did the open write-ups I absolutely watched almost every game between teams in my top x (which, for 16, is no more than 8 per week and often much lower). Thats all I asked for.

Yeah, I dont think it was DM that cost us the game. A couple huge tactical mistakes and a badly missed sticky trap would be more accurate.

one moment =/= problem. There were many more moments where what I said was a bigger issue. Sure added DM would be nice, but it wouldn't have changed that match.

Ultimately though, instances like that where we took smart fights and lost because of DM are far outweighed by instances where we failed to take smart fights, or took fights that were really bad, or pushed everyone through one door or bled like a fucking aortic dissection or forgot what it means to play an aggressive mid, or didn't focus the focus called player or forgot to make focus calls or allowed a sniper to just walk up to a sightline on me without paying attention or doing the good ole spam and leave but forgetting either the spam part or the leaving part or both.

If it were a DM issue, it wouldn't be as big a deal and would be something we could crawl our way out of, people have bad DM nights, people can improve DM rather quickly with some hours in. If anything, calling it a DM issue is giving our team far more credit than is due.

Yeah, aside that one instance where bo4r beat the shit out of them, shadowpuppet is right.
Both times they pushed lower out of 2nd, we backcapped them and won.
We won the round with RJ's legendary trap.
Other times was us relentlessly beefing last pushes, due to us either not focusing on point enough or focusing point too much.
Regardless, I still think it was a good game.

Hopefully we'll get a chance to not beef as hard against you guys in the playoffs.

I feel like I'm coming into a shit fest here but, I'd like to add my 5 cents.
From watching the stream as well as talking to both Rogue and Shdw respectfully about how they did, (so please don't feel like I'm trying to defend anyone here or be biased in any way) I just want to state my opinion. With that being said, after watching the match via STV for awhile, and ending up watching the rest of the match from Couch's stream (early wake-up for school), I would have to say that DM was an issue, is it the biggest issue? Up for debate. I mean that's opinionated I feel. In my opinion I would say it was not. I felt like the fact they were being wrapped around from lobby to their second three different times was quite astonishing, not to mention the fact a lot of their pushes seemed to be disjointed or not very thought out / executed poorly.
In my personal opinion DM was an issue yes, I just feel it's being pushed too far in this sense. I do agree that Dreamboat should have hit his shots in that moment. However I also feel that out of DM and tactics, DM will always be less consistent: choking, bad day etc. My point being, I feel like a bigger issue was the tactics issue, such as the lack of cohesion or the constant wraps. Mainly because it is something they as a team can look at and improve off of, instead of just telling dreamboat or apt or freddy etc. to go hit up a DM server.
In the end it just seems like people are taking this a little to far, on both sides of the issue. I feel like at the end of the day, it's a video game, it's open. Can't we just take it as "cool, this team won this team lost", and let the teams think for themselves about how to improve, rather than making a huge ordeal out of it? I mean it is open.
Anyhow that's my 5 cents, disagree with me or agree, that's fine, just wanted to voice my opinion, and try to be as neutral as possible.
As a side note, I'm quite fond of both these teams and I hope this they both do well this season, Bowflexing and Bote both are teams to be watched for certain. I found the match very entertaining and fun to watch. And much love to couch for the stream.
