So should I not continue to allow sees to charge me monthly for that 6$ fee that I've been too lazy to turn off?
According to tweets here: https://twitter.com/BigSecurityNews/status/817927735549034497 it seems like all user information, phone numbers, etc. was leaked. Not sure about cc or payment info. seems to be a negative on that one
Do people actually put personal information on esea? All I did was put fake info and pay via PayPal :/
if i recall if youve ever won anything, they ask you to fill out a personal id sheet which asks for ss# address etc
unfif i recall if youve ever won anything, they ask you to fill out a personal id sheet which asks for ss# address etc
This. Let's hope the means through which they store those details are very, very separate from what was compromised (which for the most part seems like account-related details such as password, security question, and so on).

Unless esea stores in plaintext, passwords should be fine unless they're weak.

A number of common hashes are basically shit these days as well, and it's an old enough system to use something like md5
now i have to change my password from pootismeister to something else
But wait didn't someone on twitter was like offering to check people's alias? they were coming back with phone numbers, names, and addresses. Granted, not very hard to do if you have a name but it was all through an alias i.e. From esea.
rats looks like mgibsucks123 is going to have to be changed to a more secure password >:(

woah thats interesting I looked up my name on that site and this came up
"Esea.net has: 1 result(s) found. This data was hacked on approximately 2016-12-26 register_date, City, State/Province, last_login, username, firstname, lastname, hash, email, birthday, zip_code, Phone number, Website, SteamID, PSN_ID, XboxID"
CheesyMacgyver register_date, City, State/Province, last_login, username, firstname, lastname, hash, email, birthday, zip_code, Phone number, Website, SteamID, PSN_ID, XboxID"
Isn't everything listed info that's publicly available by going to your esea page?
yea i never put my psn online and i dont have an xbox so.....
If you have shit pws just change them. Also, it may be a good idea to send a steam support ticket and ask them to void all esea purchases because if someone gets into ur esea acct they can see the purchase ids and impersonate you.

I don't think a lot of people put their real zip code or phone number on their ESEA profile, but email address is definitely out there.
Didn't esea just start using HTTPS and ddos protection like last year lmao surprised it took this long

Most of the other results are dating sites I've never been on. Further googling reveals it to be a 35 year old woman who uses the same name as I do. I hope she found someone :)
If your data is on LeakedSource, you can remove it here:
No clue on what you actually search on leaked source. I got nothing when I entered in esea or my username / name.
