The 6v6 matchmaking will be solo queue only so there is no guarantee you will be able to team with your friends. Your best bets will be to either be captain and pick them yourself or ask your captain nicely to pick them. We are considering future options that will be more suitable for partying up but for now it will be solo only.

Just like PugChamp then. People should have no problems shifting from one to the other.
An option that i think was cool and used by TF2Pickup.net is that the medics can choose one player to stay with.

Hopefully there are more than the 10-14 players in faceit at a time.

Considering how much it has to offer I have no doubt it'll surpass faceit's player numbers and keep a constant amount of players

I'm excited for the medic main promo they're rolling. Are there any plans to have prizes for other top players in the future?

The prizes and incentives and the rank system are all amazing, but all I want is to actually be able to play a lot of pugs where people try and the games are competitive, and I think this should fill that void. Hope to see everyone this afternoon!

I do understand that elo ranking seems to be a nice way to make people try, but otherwise it also makes people very toxic in losing situations. There was a reason pugchamp removed its elo system. OTherwise it seems like a great thing to have.

Are you saying people don't care about losing pugs currently? People who become toxic to their team solely due to not winning will behave this way, with or without elo. Not saying elo doesn't have an effect n people's behavior but it's not big enough to be considered worth removing.

5 mins is barely enough to join the server for a lot of players let alone launching discord and connecting to voice channel

The only thing i'm afraid of is that there are so many tiers! Take for example TF2Center, the biggest lobby system atm: at best it has around 5 lobbies per geographical area (that's a number i made up, but i think it's reasonable).
Try splitting that into 4 tiers: it still may take ages to fill up a certain tier lobby & start :\ I'm genuinely afraid we are too small for such an awesome project. I really hope i'm wrong tho

pretty stoked to play tonight, kind of bummed you can't 6 stack so I could queue with my whole team but still very excited.

is there any sort of auto-ban/kick system or is it all admin-handled? e.g. if someone's comp crashes so they show up 20 seconds late to the pug, or if the crash happens mid-game and they take a while to get everything sorted and come back, etc. the reason i ask is tf2center's automatic system is so bad that most of my bans have come when i was following the rules, and sometimes when i'm breaking the rules it doesn't even notice.
also fyi there's a typo in the rules, part 4: "ties goes to Overtime."
To encourage activity in the TF2 Pro League, prime time is a time when you can come to play and have a higher chance of finding a game. Prime time for all divisions is 6pm EST every day, however queues will be open at all times so feel free to play whenever you want!
i'm not sure what real-world impact this has, but it's too early.

Not for the average tf2 player, or the average new competitive player.

I'm not sure I understand this, could a medic just pick the one invite player mainclassing to stay with and then guarantee that they have a good pocket or combo scout for example? That sounds kind of silly like if banny is added to a pug with a bunch of open players obviously the team with him on it will probably win so wouldn't both medics want to choose the best player to stick with? Maybe I'm misunderstanding idk

Wait, so does this new system mean the permanent death of the daily ladders? That's really unfortunate, I liked being able to queue up for some low level games every once in a while, especially early in the day when there's nothing else to play besides TF2C or pubs.
I've also got some lower level friends I've been trying to introduce into TF2 by playing Faceit with them. Does this mean I'll no longer be able to play with those people since they'll be in a lower skill division?

We just want the avatars so people know who to pick what as. There is no other way to assume what classes people want to be picked on when captaining unless FACEIT adds their own system.
