August 9 baby!
Gratz eXtv for getting it done, really looking forward to the release. Cruel to make us wait another week!
OafmealIf I watch this and like it enough to pitch $20 Luke's way, I'll have to buy it 4x? If I feel like giving $40 that's 8x punching in my credit card. Kind of ridiculous, as it's entirely optional to give in the first place.
Yes, the price should be variable, like when you buy the Humble Bundle. Sal, is it too late for this?

Feeding the troll isn't fun or helpful. Anyways, let me describe my thought process today regarding the i46 documentary.
Sal's tweet of the link: Euphoria! Webpage: Oh, it's soon though! Pay for it? huh, whatever. *Later* This thread "$5 dollars for an HD quality copy, free on youtube regardless": Wow that's ok, I can pay the 5 and it's on youtube for those who can't/won't pay. What a good idea, everyone should be happy! Thanks Sal, LL, eX!
This thread: Let's complain about why something isn't perfectly established to our expectations and be butthurt about it.
Only thing that makes me kind of sad is the 35~ minute runtime. I would prefered longer, and hope there will be a way I can own or d/l in a "package" all the footage or interviews, or at least to view them. LL mentioned them as later uploads, but I'd pay (5? 10? 20?) for a separate edition or bonus edition with those stuff in them.
Result: It's about time, and LL has a standard I've enjoyed in his Youtube videos, looking forward to the 9th!
Edit: Will someone inform me of how what I said earns negatives?

Wow this thread went from being a bit under the weather, to being HIV+ to full blown AIDS pretty quickly. I'm not sure antiretrovirals will help at this point.
Looking forward to the new thread promised about the video. Also looking forward to the video, and to i49 and the hyyyyype. Also the holiday I'm having in September and Christmas looks pretty good too, and loads of other stuff... the future is awesome.

Can people for once appreciate something without arguing and always having issues with literally everything...

I'm not sure if it's possible. I can create multiple "packages" with different price tags (and different content), but it doesn't have a name your price option. And I don't really like having multiple price tags with exactly the same product ... hmmm.

Thanks for your very eloquently described argument. You really moved the discussion along and provided something meaningful to the thread. Now you can fuck right off.

Thank you to everyone who worked on the documentary looking forward to watching it! :)
I love how people can find ways to complain about anything ;D I'm just looking forward to watching it. 'Nuff said.
To be honest, I expected the documentary to be free. I also expected it to only be available on youtube. So from my perspective, no harm no foul. I got exactly what I expected, AND the option to pay $5 for a HFR version. Coolio.

Why don't you sit back and appreciate their ability to argue over anything.

Come on, be honest, if this was ozfort it wouldn't have made it past the first page.

Because that doesn't make any sense whatsoever. I woke up today and I had to go through at least 4 pages of non sense. That is all.

I'd appreciate a convenient way to donate more than just a few bucks, even if it's just a separate "donate" link. If I can do that by throwing 10 copies in my cart before checking out, that's fine too.

Lol seriously, I would have been mildly upset if this sold at 30$ with a shitty 360p youtube version as the alternative but you guys are jumping the shark.
I would have the same reaction as 2sy_morphiend if the video was pay to watch ONLY.
Man, this is not ''Critique'' it's ''being dumb''.
Like people said, i will throw 5$ if i really enjoyed it to reward Lucky Luke / EXTV work.

It's not just June with a problem. June is the one raising an issue in the least constructive and most vocal way, but several people have expressed concern over the VHX paywall. I've kicked off a discussion about it within eXtv this morning so we should hopefully have something by the end of the day.
A lot of people brought up the length of the doc- for me, 35 minutes out of four days of volunteer work is quite long. I've shot 5 straight 16 hour days to produce an 8 minute video. The amount of footage that's unusable after you've decided the story that you want to tell is much more than you think it is.
@LuckyLuke- how exactly did you shoot for 50 fps? For frag vids, sure, but that's a really strange frame rate for live action footage. What gear were you running for this?

Sony HX9V.

eXtineYao, just wanted to pipe in real quick.
We can't release the 50fps version on YT, YT doesn't support higher frame rates.
You could had chosen to release the 50fps version on torrent.
The other alternative is that you could had used my server as a download alternative. Afterall luke, airon and other extv members has already utilized my server for storing the documentary footage and other extv relative files.

#301 No plans that I've heard of. The most I'll do is shitty vlogs with Google Glass or a Sony thing.

It also becomes harder and harder the longer the work is. The length of the video and the amount of time spent working on it are related exponentially
