This would actually be great because I have to wake up at 5:40 every day for school so it would be nice to not be tired all the time

u r an insane person
this is half an hour to get off work, drive home, make food, get settled at the computer, and warm up for scrims
when i worked a 9-5, even 10:30est matches were a little restrictive on building healthy adult cooking/cleaning habits

Team Fortress 2 scrims are in direct conflict with the 'American dream'. Your average worker (TF2 player) in the United States (or surrounding territories) has work from 9-5PM, spends from 30 minutes to an hour in traffic, comes home, greets their bitch wife and kids (that they hate) (this takes on average 5-10 minutes), does their laundry (hopefully), prepares food, consumes food, with only a couple of hours left to look at social media and devise a way out of the matrix. By this time it is more than likely close to scrimming time (10PM est). If you have a match that evening, you aren't getting out of that shit until 12AM to 1AM, then you have to wake up at 6 or 7AM to do it all again. In summary, we must change for the better.

what invite players wont tell you is that they play tf2 as 2 full time jobs, the reality is that they can scrim anytime

siyodang ur telling me you don't meal prep on the weekends wtf

motherfucker my commute was 30 minutes half the time already, do u want me to just slow time? yea I meal prepped usually but that shit still takes time to prepare/reheat and eat. even ignoring if someone wanted to stay late after work, do some chores before gaming for hours, talk to their s/o at all when they get home, just sit and relax for a few minutes, etc

the earlier the better
this whole scrims at 10/10:30 and/or matches that are played until midnight or well into midnight if its playoffs is not the vibe if your not a neet

ive spent years doing it but its very hard if u have a life or above the age of 19 and one of the main reasons im way less willing to play unless its like a summer szn or noscrim or something

playoffs season 10 2/3 of our series went to 2 AM. I think the only thing you can realistically do is find a team that's EST only or doesn't care about starting early and just get a weekly going.

It's sort of rough for TF2 specifically in NA because there is literally only one person who can afford to do this full-time but I still think when Quake can do scrims and pugs earlier when they have a population as prone to aging as Japan and HL players can do 8:30+9:30 on Mondays that surely some West Coast players can do 30 minutes earlier. I also just think more people could scrim on weekends in the afternoon but not everyone wants to spend their weekends on this game. It really is a team-by-team basis and idk if having exclusively standardized scrim times is tenable.

Idk why we continued to keep up this tradition up because its straight up just not healthy and only works if you have the hyperneet sleep schedule. been doing this shit for a while now and over the years ive clearly noticed how in the offseason I have way more energy. this whole scrimming for a 4-month long online season each time sunday/monday-thursday really starts to take its toll on you physically and mentally, and if not immediately then likely a month in as youre likely just getting 6 hours of sleep at best. it's exhausting. like imagine starting your OFFICIAL matches at 11pm est when you're half dead and already exhausted as fuck it makes no sense.

and thank god for the weekend playoffs starting at 5-6pm EST, god forbid I ever have to do another 3-5am grand final ever again

one of the main reasons i don't really play the game anymore, west coasters just have the entire community by the balls and if you're not a neet it's just not worth it

Central players are using divide and rule tactics to distract the west and east coast players from the fact that they have five ping and get to go to bed on time.

Maybe RGL should have a scrim finder on their website. You get to punch in your team's availability and it finds teams within +/- 0.5-1 division (ie low invite could match with bubble-top advanced) and then leaders would have to both accept.

This gets rid of the standardization as each team gets to put their availability in.

#22 we do not have nearly a large enough playerbase anymore to have east/west conferences. I wish we did, because I would love to scrim with less than 90 ping.

remove the neetschedule requirement and you can get a 15% boost in player registration. i ran the numbers

every scrim finding website has died because people would rather just ask people they know will be a good scrim
