I would like to be able to vote on the baby face blaster. Making jaguar upset is really important to me, especially in a new league.

Is there a link to the current votes, or will we have absolutely no idea until the poll closes?

As long as you are logged in to the website and a member of a current roster that's "ready", you're able to see the results by hovering your mouse over the choices.

This does seem a little rushed. And looking at this whitelist why are we voting on the wrangler instead of something like the Vaccinator?
Please run a more thorough vote/ban system next season.

Can someone explain what makes the Diamondback worth banning? Seems like it just increases the ability for spy play.

We want to ban the weapon with a good risk-reward system that relies on skill - The Widowmaker
We want to allow the item that just changes stats and works regardless of skill - The Conch
2 Health Regen per second, Area of effect speed boost and Health regen from damage dealt is not something that belongs in 6v6 in my opinion. Lets also not forget how silly the Black Box, Conch combo is.

I want to make it clear that it's not just the community volunteers doing all the work. We have the full cooperation of the entire CEVO staff. I am in constant contact with Chris Pipher, the general manager, and Mike Stevens has been single-handedly coding the SizzlingStats integration and survey system used in this poll. I also have regular contact with Adam Spangler, senior support specialist for CEVO.
On our side of things, these CEVO staff members and the CEVO TF2 volunteers are in a group Skype chat that we use to coordinate on a daily basis. I can assure you that this is a team effort.
Would the same things be happening without community members?
That's what i'm getting at.

Based on his posts, it looks like the point he's making is that CEVO isn't actually doing anything, the community is. Regardless of whether someone who works for CEVO is actively doing anything or not (hint: people are), CEVO is making changes to the league that people want at an impressive pace.
So, essentially, by calling out the fact that community members are doing the work on behalf of CEVO, he's in effect saying that people in the community are actually able to contribute to and influence CEVO's development - this is good, not bad.

eXtineblendtecDo you guys really want to deal with the battalions backup on KOTH? I know that most of you don't remember why it was banned, but it was op as shit and basically forced on viaduct if you wanted to win. Plus it got buffed since then.
Sorry to bring up ESEA transgressions, but I always thought it was a mistake for them to ban that weapon mid-season.
In my opinion the Battalions Backup being whipped out on Koth_Viaduct week was one of the most significant moments of meta innovation we've seen in TF2. A weapon that no one was touching all of a sudden became a must run and not because of balance changes by Valve... However, "No Exceptions" ESEA flipped the script and banned it half way through the map week, even though it was eXtremely doubtful that teams would have been running it on a 5-cp map.
It's a powerful strategy for KOTH, but should an item really be banned because it's very useful on one map?
Are you kidding? It literally rewarded people for being bad and taking damage. It suggested hey... You get hit way too much.. Let's give your whole team a shield because you suck at dodging damage. That's not a strategy that's a handicap assist button

DrPloxoIt is a good thing. But volunteers rarely stick around.
This isn't an untrue statement, but at the same time most of the work is needed at the beginning. I don't plan on doing anywhere near as much next season, esp since it'll be summer and I'll be working/travelling/not inside on a comp, but it's important that we lay a good foundation this season. If we can start off with a good number of teams and make these players happy and enjoy the league, then they'll stick around next season and even more will come. Start off strong, and it only gets easier as you go on.
On that note, as of right now:
-46 teams readied up
-2 teams with 6 paid, missing STEAM IDs (TEAMS PLEASE ADD YOUR STEAM IDs!)
-8 teams with 5 paid players
-10 teams with a minimum 1 paid player
Reminder: Schedules for Week 1 will be released on Thursday, February 20.
If your team is set to ready, don't forget to vote on the item whitelist poll.
