I don't even think it's based on the value of stuff you own. My likely most expensive item in TF2 is a Strange Killstreak Rocket Launcher. And my most expensive for CS:GO is a Minimal Wear Redline Awp, so I doubt it's value based, because I get adds like this atleast 4 times a day, at most 12.
Mr_Harvardassuming you are using a standard mouse because other "gaming" mice are out of your budget range or you dont have an interest in them, get a g100, you can buy them at target for like 20 bucks, they have the logitech drivers that you can download and change the dpi and do all that great stuff
I'm actually using a gaming mouse because it was more or less a present and it serves me well for how much I use it. I do want a gaming mouse though, and I'll definitely look into your suggestion. Just to clarify though, are you saying the G100 has the Logitech drivers? Or are you saying that I could just try and install Logitech drivers? Is the G100 good, by the way?
clckwrkIf there's a way to change your mouse dpi it'll be done through a Logitech driver or on the mouse itself. Your best bet is to find out exactly what mouse it is and what drivers support it. If I were you though I'd just buy a better, more current mouse.
I'll probably just buy a new one when I find a place that sells them, thanks.
EDIT: Did some of my own research. Saw there was a G100 and a G100s that's worth roughly 10 more dollars. Is it worth the extra 10, or is the normal G100 good enough on it's own?
EDIT 2: Just found out what kind it was. It's an M525. Logitech site says it can be 1000 DPI at Max. I'm assuming that means it can be lowered somehow. I'll try and go find a driver for it.
So, I wanted to know if it was possible to change my mouse DPI in my computer someway, since my mouse is a simple, two-button (not counting scroll-wheel) mouse. To make matters worse, I don't know what kind of mouse that it is, only that it's a Logitech mouse.
I already tried downloading the Mouse and Keyboard Center from Microsoft, but it said it couldn't detect my mouse. It's a wireless, USB plug in, is that possibly the issue?
EDIT: Thanks to whoever moved the thread. I didn't see it on the "Select Subforum" bar. My mistake.
That's perfect, as far as ESEA goes, thank you.
I figured out how to find the number of players for UGC as well, thanks to anybody who may have looked.
Does anybody potentially have the statistics for the current ESEA season of TF2? I remember a while back seeing that somebody had a graph/info about how many new teams we had in Open, Intermediate, and Invite.
Also, it's extremely unlikely, but could somebody also tell me if UGC keeps the same statistics? And if so, are they available for public view? And if so, how can I find them?
I'm going to throw my two cents in because I'm in a similar situation.
First off, I can only assume you're young, because your parents are able to threaten you with things that they can't threaten most people with. Even if that's the case, it doesn't affect what I'm about to say: My parents gave me my car as a gift, ergo, it's mine in its entirety. (Mostly. They tell me when I turn 18 in a few months that I have to pay a dollar to get the title to the car.)
I also have a job that pays for about 8 an hour. However, my parents are like yours and are way over protective. (Mine are so terrified of me playing competitive that they only give me an hour of gaming a day and make me go to bed at nine.) Because of this, my parents, like yours, will use any ammo against you that they may have. Ergo, I would suggest you wait until you're either old enough to move out, or if that's already the case, try and find a room mate. Because otherwise, even if your car is YOURS, chances are they will still threaten it, or sometimes even do what my parents do and threaten your job directly.
On the other hand. If you think I'm totally full of shit, I would suggest, in that case, that you save money however you can and use it to buy a bike. That way you won't get turned down as often and you can work your way up to a car. Just be careful not to be tempted to use the money for something else.
My time constraints is a primary reason that I've never played in these before, let alone played in ESEA or CEVO, though I definately want to. Part of that is due in part to the fact that I have a job and high school. :(
And also because my parents worry to much.
Thanks a bunch. Yeah, this in my first mix, and I'm super pumped, especially considering the fact that I enjoy all the 6s class, so I won't even been upset if I'm placed on Medic. Thanks again for going into detail. I'm not at all worried when it comes to pre game talk though, since that doesn't count as time, since I'm not actively playing.
How long do Newbie Mixes typically last? My parents are strict about how much time I get to play TF2 on weekdays (only an hour), and while I want to participate in these, I'm afraid of it going over my time limit and leaving halfway through. Can anybody give me a rough estimate of how long these can last at max? Thanks in advance!
I'm going to add a bunch of you guys when I get home later, since I need people to play with.
zigzterI don't have a Wii but if anyone else has the 3DS version, let's play. (I'm incredibly bad)
My friend code thing is 3282-4858-8184
4184-4254-5730 I'll add you as well when I get home.
Why are we bashing this guy for asking to be on a team? So what if he's on YouTube, could mean exposure for competitive TF2
Anybody here got Smash 4 or Animal Crossing:New Leaf? Smash 4 is fun but when you only have two 12 year olds to fight, it's not as fun or challenging... And I just got New Leaf and decided to try and find others to play with.

Hey. I'm also new to competitive, in fact, I've only played a few lobbies. The people in this thread are saying you need to make friends, and why not start making friends with people who also want to join the scene? Add me if you like we can play some tomorrow. (I only get an hour a day though. Parents are weird.)
ESEA-ShooterLulzyIs there going to be a separate poll for what replaces what?Yes!
