#15 I'm making commentaries but need tips in Videos

try to play more for highlights than for your actual play if that makes sense. Make the focus of the video the interesting parts of the gameplay and let yrself be more of a side panel to the action

watching pub tf2 isn't very interesting: you need to be an incredibly good entertainer to pull it off imo

but even people who aren't fountains of charisma can manage to pare down an hour or 3 of relatively bland footage into 5-10 mins and show what they actually wanted to show, as well as make something genuinely interesting to watch. Never be afraid to make an incredibly short video after a day's recording. A short cool video is a lot more fun and better received than a medium length video of varying quality (b4nny)

futureBucakefutureWith bong rips?
Do you even smoke -_- fuck drinking and other drugs, weed is the shit. If rather see him doing that for views then smoking. Cigs at his day job

cannabis might not be so harmful to the body as alcohol is, but it isn't harmless to the mind.
i mean, look at you

I was doing bad because I dabbled with other drugs. Weed had no play in it. Now I'm doing well, working two jobs, doing freelancing with my graphic design work, and participating in AA and NA programs with over 90 days sober. Soon I'll be going back to college for animation. You can do successful things, be healthy and do well while smoking a moderate amount of pot. And that's not even mentioning my work and practice in comp tf2 and other game design related things.

weed is for highschoolers
but sure yr the one human being who can manage to recover from addiction and work on moderate use of drugs :)

#17 What should be the maximum FOV? in TF2 General Discussion
sage78Quikeven most quake pros use 90 (106-110 on quake engine)
for example gaiia, hal_9000

so people who want to have 120 in tf2 because they have 120 in ql, actually want to have 100 in tf2 not fucking 120
why is FOV 90 106-110 on quake?
i see a lot of people using 100 or more in quake live

because of monitors being inconsistent in their aspect ratio, it creates a more consistent experience to measure off of vertical FOV so that FOV only ever increases with wide screen monitors, rather than measuring off of the horizontal where larger monitors would have a heavily stretched image or limited vertical FOV

ingame FOV is actually the vertical FOV and its then scaled based on aspect ratio, giving you around 104 if you play on 90 FOV on 16:9

#50 A glaring issue with projectile hitboxes in TF2 General Discussion

the end difference for the explosion radius change was that the most significant loss of detection/damage was where the corner used to be. If I'm interpreting the numbers right, 2007 tf2 had rockets be map aligned squares w/ 242 as the perimeters, and then changed it to be a radius of 143.

Rockets became 18% bigger when aligned along the map's axes, while the diagonal of the square went from ~171 to 143, so the rockets became ~17,3% smaller along the diagonals.

actual rocket area mildly increased, so assuming they use the same method to do bounding boxes, you would end hitting slightly more shots because of the change than you would lose because of it, assuming that map alignment is random in such a way that you'd end up facing the diagonal and the perpendicular sides relatively consistently. Since most maps flow along the grid, you'll probably see a slight buff to projectiles as the hitbox extends slightly further in the direction most of the combat tends to orient itself around

or im wrong idk

#48 A glaring issue with projectile hitboxes in TF2 General Discussion

I might be misremembering but i think 2007 tf2 draws eplosions as aligned squares rather than spheres, but it was patched out soon after release.

point being valve is capable of making this change easily

edit: [September 15, 2009 Patch] Fixed explosive radius detection using an axially aligned box instead of a sphere

trashapparently that never happens with any other high-DPS class like a heavy and I should never expect this?

heavy makes a very loud sound that you can hear around corners, and honestly if yr defense of a game mechanic is that itsy as fun and interesting as fighting a heavy u might need to reevaluate yr stance
