Ok, so I'm sure you can easily find a clip with more impressive close range tracking. Right?
varnuppl be like look at this quad clip where he hits CRAZY pistol!!! no no dont actually pay attention to the damage numbers in the clip that reveal he hits 4/12 pistol clip 3 times in a row.
Obviously the pistol's damage sucks. You should almost always reload scattergun instead.
And trying to perfectly track your targets with the scattergun is also bad. Duh. You need to move your mouse to strafe in mid air, so your movement is going to be worse.
That's not the point.
Title of the thread is "What looks more impressive". And perfect tracking looks better than flicking everywhere and hitting perfect shots.
Think about it like this:
Flicking = barbaric, utilitarian
Tracking = art, beauty, pursuit of ultimate truth

You're literally missing the point but sure yeah I'll argue cuz I'm bored
scrab Flicking = barbaric, utilitarian
Consistently accurate flicks by players who have actual stopping power is some of the most impressive aiming in videogames. Your personal opinion isn't gospel nor fact.

https://youtu.be/Cbvfqk8uljc?t=385 from 2022 btw (makes it more impressive imo!)

remember when I roasted you for being banned and still wasting your time on here and you responded by writing the n-word on my steam profile? yeah that was cool

Wrong.
Cool clip though, thanks for showing me. Toemas is very skilled. But frankly he killed the scout too quickly and didn't have to track him much. I prefer the quad clip which takes longer.
You accuse me of being a nerd, so unprivate your steam hours / last 2 weeks and let's compare. Whoever has more must admit they're the nerd. Agreed?

Toemas doesn't miss enough in that clip therefore it's not impressive.
is basically what you're saying

No, it's very impressive.
Just that his pistol worked whereas quad's didn't. It's RNG.
I see this is hard for you to understand - I recommend more schoolwork and less TF2.

our tracking ancestors must be so ashamed to see these newfangled flicking ideals become mainstream

also the idea that flicking is "barbaric" is stupid, especially when you can find trends in the accuracy of higher level players who flick bcuz there is precision behind that technique

God, I feel like a Greek scholar trying to civilise some backwater Thracian tribe
Listen you drooling American moron (but I repeat myself)
If you are trying to play "the best" i.e. deal the most damage, dodge the most damage, get the most kills, and win the game, OBVIOUSLY flicking is better
This thread is not about how to play "the best". This thread is about frag videos
And in frag videos, the most entertaining type of aim to watch is, objectively, tracking aim
So there's a dichotomy between scouts who play to be good at the game, and scouts who play to be more entertaining.
The scout who will forsake damage logs, kill streaks, and championships to entertain his adoring masses on YouTube is rare. And therefore far more valuable for it.
He does not live for mere trophies. He aspires to something higher. He lives for the roar of the crowd. He becomes immortal.
And he is more free than you will ever be.

Objectively correct, anyone who disagrees is a troglodyte not worthy of opinions on beauty (excellent way to win argument is to insult opposition before they can respond so they don't want to, there by winning).

I prefer to watch barbarian flickers because I believe that the closer we get to 20xx the less viable tracking will be, as scouts will micro airstrafe between pistol shots.

scrab : If you're reading this night terror, I could fucking destroy you, not in a digital sense such as tf2, but I mean like in the real world. I'm not a violent person and wouldn't start a fight with anyone out of the blue, but if you put me in a situation where i was forced to physically defend myself, I wouldn't scream and run away. The paramedics would put down in their report something along the lines of "the body of the victim looks like a series of popped water balloons that were filled with tomato sauce". I'm the fucking truth dude, and I wouldn't hesitate for a second to go fucking nuts on a moment's notice and tear you to giblets. Thanks for reading and god bless.
